I think WS has def peaked if prices on ebay are anything to go by - I used to buy White Stuff clothes at bootsales etc and flog it on ebay, but final prices are now about 50% lower than a couple of years ago.

hth

No134 · 09/09/2015 07:49

That tunic is partic bad, I grant you.

JuneFromBethesda · 09/09/2015 09:11

That tunic is vile Confused

verenti · 09/09/2015 09:18

One of my friends dresses almost exclusively in White Stuff. When I go in with her it is always busy and they seem to sell out of stuff quite quickly so I think it is still very popular. The clothes really aren't my thing but my friend always looks nice as the clothes suit her (and I've never seen her in anything else for comparison!!).

OverScentedFanjo · 09/09/2015 09:23

Horror tunic.

I do love button necklaces so I won't agree there. But the general material they use for tops is so thin, it gets the little holes and looks shabby v quickly. The price doesn't reflect the quality of the item. I've had better quality at Primark.

EElisavetaOfBelsornia · 09/09/2015 09:24

The tunic is awful. But I quite like the cardi Blush

BrendaandEddie · 09/09/2015 10:33

The styling on that website is so terrible.

Oh bore off.

Why are you browsing their website if you dislike it so much?

mejon · 09/09/2015 12:27

As one of the few women's shops in my small, middle-of-nowhere town, I was over the moon when WS opened a year or so ago and have bought quite a few things there. However, I've had a revelation with the current season's collection - if the tall, slim models look the epitome of frump, God alone knows what I look like in their clothes. I shall be far more selective from now on I think.

BrendaandEddie · 09/09/2015 12:41

I'm amazed that they've had to have no change of style at all. It simply must be loved by someone.

I love love love White stuff. I would wear that tunic, but not the cardi. Think 50+ and bit on the porky side. The leggings are so comfy and the tunics skim my worst bits. If you don't like the stuff then don't browse the website. Leave it for people like me who like it.

Frostycake · 10/09/2015 11:21

I have a friend who bought a ton of stuff from there this summer and it all looks dreadful. I feel so sorry for her. It's just so frumpy with all the muddy colours and poor quality material and fit. The thing is, the young, thin, tall, beautiful models look just passable in their stuff so how on earth is it going to be flattering on your average, 40-something, pear-shaped mum.

HarrietSchulenberg · 10/09/2015 20:45

White Stuff tends to really suit me but I've worn frumpy chic my whole adult life. I like the tunic but not sure about the material.

WicksEnd · 10/09/2015 20:52

Their pants are nice. But the rest of it is.. Err..... Pants!

They had one nice dress this summer actually, but it never came into stock for some reason.

PoppyBlossom · 10/09/2015 21:04

I always expect white stuff to be the White company and get a rude shock of fussy patterns all over the page, wondering if the White company has vastly changed its whole ethos.

Floisme · 10/09/2015 22:12

It's not my style but if you held a gun to my head and made me choose, I'd take them over The White Company. I'd rather die of fuss then die of beige.

pinksalt · 10/09/2015 22:13

I like white stuff, nobody I know buys clothes from there, they are all to working class as am I. I get white stuff clothes in charity shops in posh areas and mix and match them with other stuff and I look quite unique in the sea of primark!

Lipsiensis · 10/09/2015 22:17

I was determined to boycott it after an incident with a tea cosy, but went in a few months ago and bought a top and a scarf.
I fear I am probably target audience even though I despise them.
It's quite the internal struggle.

Greengardenpixie · 10/09/2015 22:18

I used to love whitestuff. I loved the quirkiness of their prints. Something has happened to them. It may be me but it really looks frumpy and the model does nothing to enhance the clothes. I have often though, gawd, if she looks that bad, i must look awful!!! I buy selectively though and only now and again. I do like that tunic but there are other things i cant stand that are for sale just now. Sad as i bought tons of there stuff before. Maybe i have just grown out of that style. Not sure if its me or whitestuff!!!

Greengardenpixie · 10/09/2015 22:23

Also, their stuff does not sell as well on ebay now, i agree.

campervan67 · 10/09/2015 22:27

I think it's getting worse lately... But occasionally it has some gems. I have this skirt which I wear to death at work (though not with that fucking awful spotty top) and I am currently toying with the idea of buying this dress after seeing the shop assistant wearing it with tights and boots.

Aroundamulberry · 10/09/2015 22:27

It is not cut as well or as flattering as boden

verenti · 11/09/2015 09:12

an incident with a tea cosy

I can imagine something like that happening in White Stuff!
