I'm going to my 2nd festival next weekend and would really like to look "ok". But . . . I'm very overweight and sort on cash so this may be impossible to achieve! Went to the same festival last year and had a great time - it will probably be wet, cold & windy but not too muddy. Will have my dd15 and her BFF so don't really want to embarrass themBlush

I bought nice patterned lond sleeve boho style top in Sainsbury's for last weekend's Womad music festival but can't find it online. I am size 18.
I wore it with my calf length jeans from DP.
I didn't look out of place!

I have recently seen a Taking Shape fashion show, and some of their stuff would be brilliant for a "grown up" at a festival. The website doesn't quite do it justice but they have a lovely colourful look with floaty layers, scarfs, leggings etc with a bit of adaptation it would be fine with boots or wellies. They do in store styling but maybe you could phone up the nearest one explain your remoteness and get someone to suggest an outfit over the phone?

I'll try and remember one of the outfits, hope links work

leggings or trousers, a base layer tunic or top, a sheer or patterned tunic top over and scarf/ jewellery. you could put a big boyfriend cardigan or jumper over like something from Woolovers - look at Pure Lambswool range. Make your base layer a thermal one if you might be cold.

I thought it was really different and a look you can only really carry off if you are a bit bigger otherwise you just get swamped.

I would wear something floral and floaty with leggings, either Hunters or my biker boots if it was going to be cold/wet and a fab leather biker jacket that I have. If it was going to be very cold, I would wear my khaki parka instead. If it was going to be hot, I'd probably go for a floral dress with Converse...
