Ballerinas that you can wear all day

Carrie5608 · 20/04/2015 00:02

I have bought several Ballet type shoes I can never were them for very long. I would love to wear to work but as I am on my feet all day it's impossible.

They need to be navy and super comfy like sketchers or something like that.

Apologies if this has been done before.

No idea but I really want the same! Got some from Next that appeared comfy but kill my feet if I wear them for more than a couple of hours. Practical! Not!

Camper Right ballerinas are the most comfortable ballerina shoes I have ever had. I have recently replaced a four year old pair that were looking a bit shabby. Not cheap at nearly £100, but four years of wear is a lot.

startwig1982 · 20/04/2015 06:07

My brother is a podiatrist and strongly recommends not wearing these shoes all day as they're bad for your feet.

AmyLeeha · 20/04/2015 06:28

A couple of my physiotherapists have been strongly against wearing them all day too.

I found that out after investing into beautiful pairs of Repettos in Paris and finding that I couldn't wear them for long. Definitely try the £8 ones if you really want!

MrsDesperado · 20/04/2015 06:29

Hush puppies "Janessa" are very good

Branleuse · 20/04/2015 06:47

i cant normally wear ballerinas at all as they just fall on and off my feet because of my high arches. I do have a pair of those hush puppies janessa ones though and can wear those for a bit.

Carlywurly · 20/04/2015 06:47

Accessorize suede ones are like wearing clouds all day. Only ballerinas that don't rub my feet. I live in them Smile

AmelieinOz · 20/04/2015 08:32

If you have or can order Claire scrunch flats from Payless shoes, do it. They feel like walking on clouds.

UrsulaBuffay · 20/04/2015 08:35

Just to say I have plantar fasciitis from wearing such flat shoes and it kills!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 20/04/2015 08:37

Start wig - my physio agrees with your brother!

BabyGanoush · 20/04/2015 08:43

Gabor. They have proper support, super comfy, and you can walk all day in them, yet not clunky

Clarks freckle ice. They're very casual though so not suitable for a formal workplace.

lavendersun · 20/04/2015 09:09

I have always liked the look of some Gabor shoes Baby Ganoush but they are all too wide for my slim foot, shame.

CatelynStark · 20/04/2015 09:16

Fitflops. I rarely wear any other brand because I cannot abide aching feet.

I've just purchased the black patent leather ballerina style - £75 but smart enough for work and will last years. You do need to go up a size in these though - all other Fitflops are true to size.

CatelynStark · 20/04/2015 09:18

Ah, sorry - that link is to the black ones.

These are the navy:-

Momzilla82 · 20/04/2015 09:20

M and S autograph patent navy flats. Had some arch support and were comfy.

Autumn2014 · 20/04/2015 09:43

Hotter shoes. Proper soles and support for your feet. I like the ones called soft as they have a little t bar for extra support

Sgtmajormummy · 20/04/2015 09:50

I like the Ara or Jenny brand. They have different width fittings and are very flexible. Rubber soles so your feet don't "slap" the floor.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 20/04/2015 10:28

Russell and Bromley. If you're a size 5 or less you can buy them from the children section which is much cheaper, I have black patent quilted ones which cost £44 and they are super comfy, leather and leather lined. They are properly flat though so if you want support they're no good. But very comfy for workwear when you need flat shoes.

pseudonymity · 20/04/2015 10:39

Banana republic put memory foam in theirs.

BikeRunSki · 20/04/2015 10:56

Land's End Ballet flats - many styles - are very comfy and supportive.

Carrie5608 · 20/04/2015 13:14

Thank you all so much. I have lots to investigate here.

I do think the fit flop ones might be best for work in term of looking like a formal shoe and having some support but I will definitely have a look at others too.

New look £8 sounds like a good buy for a inexpensive pair.

Thanks again all.

More chic than average for Hotter, very cushiony. There's also a red £10 cheaper which has a separate listing: www.hotter.com/gb/en/womens/womens-sale/thornberry-shoes

lavendersun · 20/04/2015 13:50

I ordered these yesterday, they have just arrived - I don't normally buy so many pairs of new shoes but all my summer shoes seem to have worn out at once Smile.

They are lovely, glove leather like - never heard of the brand before, I like them enough to keep them and give them a go.
