Ballerinas that you can wear all day

Carrie5608 · 20/04/2015 00:02

I have bought several Ballet type shoes I can never were them for very long. I would love to wear to work but as I am on my feet all day it's impossible.

They need to be navy and super comfy like sketchers or something like that.

Apologies if this has been done before.

Back on the ballerina front I also like R and B and some Fitflop though haven't tried their ballerinas. Geox are best all round for comfort and style if you choose carefully though.

My point - which I failed to make - was that Pikolinos seem to have lots of ballet flats, if they are as comfy as the ones I ordered seem to be (for the last hour of wearing them around the house), they will be great.

Not a Geox fan at all, every pair I have owned have rubbed my feet although DD (8) and a size 3 wears them without any problems.

polyhymnia · 20/04/2015 14:43

That's strange. I very easily get rubbed feet and yet Geox are about the only brand I've never had those problems with.

Just shows how different brands suit different feet. ( I take a 41, so my feet are big by Italian standards).

Hotter are good and I adore this spanish brand, which is often stocked in Jones the Bootmaker

Oly4 that is my newly discovered brand a few posts above - are they generally good then?

BabyGanoush · 20/04/2015 15:22

I am a Pikolinos fan too!

Oly4 · 20/04/2015 15:44

Hi Lavender, I have several pairs and they are all very comfy. Some are slightly bigger than others though so worth trying on if you can. I first discovered them at Jones but now I look for them everywhere. They are the comfiest ballerinas I have by far (I own about 30 pairs). My second choice is Clarks Arizona Heat, but they need a bit of breaking in which I've never had to do with pikolinos

Oly4 · 20/04/2015 15:46

30 pairs of ballerinas... Not 30 pairs of pikolinos! Not at that price ??

lavendersun · 20/04/2015 15:51

Thanks Oly4. I bought my usual size in the brogue things above and they fit perfectly. I always have a pair of Camper Rights on the go too, neither are cheap ... but I don't do uncomfortable at all. After a few goes I charity shop anything that isn't comfortable so I know that I am better off buying what works for me - narrow foot, size 39.

I really like the brogue things, I think will probably wear them with dresses as well as crops, in a quirky way hopefullySmile.

I wear Clark's ballerinas.

Why shouldn't you wear them all day?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 21/04/2015 16:37

Not supportive enough generally and completely flat is bad for your feet.

Carrie5608 · 25/04/2015 17:15

Just to update. I have looked at and tried on loads of Ballerinas and I have come to the decision that they are just not for me. I have bought these and I really like them but had anyone on this thread suggested them I probably wouldn't have agreed.

Thanks for all the help.

I would have recommended the £8 New Look ones as well, so unbelievably comfy for the price & look brill!

Carrie5608 · 25/04/2015 20:52

Thinking I do have a pair of the Newlook £8 ones too and they are fab for the price but unfortunately they are not that comfortable for me. That was part of the reason I haven't got the right type of foot for Ballerinas.

I second Hush Puppies - Janessa.
Soft leather, really flexible sole and not flat as a pancake.
