Anyone got a tangle teezer?

My DD wants one as she says it will help with her mid length (between bra strap and waist) fine hair. If anyone has one, can they recommend it (or not!)?

They're great! And not expensive so give it a bash...

LIZS · 11/04/2015 15:34

Dd has one and would recommend and I think there is a new one for blow drying.

FriskyMare · 11/04/2015 15:35

Dd has one, they're fab.

AuntieStella · 11/04/2015 15:35

Yes, definitely.

I have a long haired DD (straight hair) and always thought Tangle Teezers would be rubbish, until she borrowed her cousin's. Instant conversion! We find them very, very good.

chanie44 · 11/04/2015 15:36

I bought a fake one from home bargains for £2 and it works well on dds hair.

BL00CowWonders · 11/04/2015 15:43

Not keen. They don't brush deep enough for me (straight hair) and dd (curly hair) says it hurts.

DidgeDoolittle · 11/04/2015 15:48

I have one,it's fantastic. I also have the Goody version that is just as good.

MustBeLoopy390 · 11/04/2015 15:51

Yes :) I love mine and find it's absolutely brilliant on my hair ( bad condition, naturally wavy, just below shoulders) and is good for most hair types, my dd quite often uses it so going to get one for her stocking this year instead of the obligatory princess hairbrush (it's become tradition lol)

Pippidoeswhatshewants · 11/04/2015 15:51

We have one and thought it was fab until we tried this one with natural bristles from boots m.boots.com/h5/cat_hub?unCountry=uk&path=/en/Botanics-Cushion-Brush_1286369/
Much better!

SmartAlecMetalGit · 11/04/2015 15:53

I tried one but I've got really thick hair it couldn't get all the way through and I ended up having to brush a layer at a time which was a bit of a faff.

I use a Mark Hill Just Tease Me comb instead and it's fabulous.

LongDistanceLove · 11/04/2015 15:54

I love mine, I have very thick curly hair and it's the only brush I've found that enables me to brush our any tangles and put a comb through it.

BrianButterfield · 11/04/2015 15:54

I've got a different branded one and I do like it. I don't have very thick hair though.

FlappertyFlippers · 11/04/2015 15:55

We love ours, dd finally lets me brush her hair without any tantrums

daftyburd · 11/04/2015 16:13

Love it. DD has curly hair and it's the only brush she will allow without screaming. I like it on my straight hair when I've just washed it or when I get up in the morning. I use other brushes for styling.

Branleuse · 11/04/2015 16:15

i dont think theyre any better than a normal brush

evertonmint · 11/04/2015 16:16

Underwhelmed. My 4yo DD has lots of very fine, flyaway shoulder length hair that gets really tangled. Several people recommended R he tangle teezer and it gets knots out but really hurts her. We're having much fewer tears since I switched in desperation to my regulation Denman bristle brush and it is equally good with tangles.

morethanpotatoprints · 11/04/2015 16:20

Both me and dd use them, my hair is very curly and can go into dreds really easy without my tt.

DD hair not curly but very thick with a slight wave and hers mats up very quickly too.

You don't need the expensive ones we bought ours from Body care £2.99 each

RoyCroppersCricketBat · 11/04/2015 16:24

My DD uses one and finds it really good. I have also bought one for the dog (Golden Retriever) as I find it a lot better than a dog brush :) Honestly, it works really well on dog fur.

wobblebobblehat · 11/04/2015 16:27

It didn't work for me. Thick hair and it doesn't brush deep enough for me either.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 11/04/2015 16:30

Great for my children but no good on my long, thick hair

evelynj · 11/04/2015 16:30

V fine hair here & I love it. Use on dc too.

d0ttyne11 · 11/04/2015 16:40

I was v V sceptical at parting with a tenner for one of these for my fine hair (about same length as your daughters) but it's brilliant. Can comb through wet hair and have seen a huge reduction in the hair that I seemed to lose when brushing and drying with the hair drier Smile

gingerbreadmam · 11/04/2015 17:21

theyre well worth the money, if i ever misplace mine it reminds me just how good they are.

agree with others it doesnt always go right through all the hair so may need to do in layers. definitely worth buying though. ive had cheap ones from primark and somewhere else which i didnt find as good.

hedgejog do a brush that is good too.

Aque1ven · 11/04/2015 18:47

I got one for my dogs too but found it useless. They do have very, very long floor trailing silky coats though.
Better is the Tangle Tamer which has a handle so is easier to hold but neither as good as a bristle brush.
