In winter i live in jeans, and dresses with boots and opaques and can rock it fairly well.

BUT in summer I don't know what to wear.
Are maxis too 2005?
What about coloured jeans? too 2010?

I have dropped a dress size recently (from 14/16 to 12/14) and still working on it and don't look too bad really but legs are a disaster for skirts in summer.
I have such pale complexion that fake tan looks absolutely AWFUL
NB am effectively SAHM so don't need to be too smart.

Please can you link me to some nice bits MNers
TIA

Not only am I peely wally white all over, I also have psoriasis - sun is supposed to help it but I don't like having my white, scabby legs on show so I just cover up. Blush Skin coloured tights or trousers for work, jeans or leggings for out of work, with the occasional maxi dress if I'm feeling brave.

Don't know if this picture will work but yes, bare the legs, my left leg has several scars as of two years ago, more higher up, and I plan to expose them regardless

Mid calf capris/cropped might be a toe in the water?

I am staunchly Celtic and look like I've woded up for Braveheart...I remember an Italian lifeguard telling me I looked like a phantom, and an ex-boss telling me he thought brown/black skin always looked nicer and more forgiving.

F'em. I actually wore denim hotpants last summer. Revelation.
