Wedding dress that's not weddingy (if that's actually a word)

Can anyone help me find a dress for my wedding? In my head I'm looking for something silk, fluid, knee or midi length and am really not looking at a traditional wedding dress at all. I'm late 40s, 5'9 and a 10-12. My best bits are probably my legs and my collar bones/chest, but I'm not a great fan of my upper arms amd strapless is a no no. I love the style of Alexander McQueen or Vivienne Westwood and am looking for something relatively simple, but perhaps a bit quirky or asymetric perhaps, in white or ivory? Planning to wear killer heels!
I've lost the plot searching net a porter etc, so if anyone can give me fresh inspiration, I'd be very grateful. Budget up to 1500.

I love that Valentino one, bur again just worried about the waist being too high. I think the Jason Wu one is fab too, but I think the leather will be a bit much.
Thanks again, I really do appreciate the effort. I know I'm sounding really picky, but its actually really helping me decide what sort of thing I want Smile
