What do you pay for a cut and blow dry? (And where are you)

I'm going back to a salon nearby tomorrow and it's going to cost me £51. The last cut I had cost £25 but I wasnt 100% happy with it, where as the £51 place gave me exactly what I wanted, hence I'm going again.
My mother seems to think that £51 is a 'ridiculous' price to pay around here, West Yorkshire, but I didn't think it was really that bad - you get what you pay for etc!
What do you pay?

Ps no, its not Toni & Guy, it's a small independant one but apparently all the stylists are 'Vidal Sassoon trained' (whatever that means!) Basically, I say I want a cut that dries well on it's own as I haven't time to blow dry (or inclination!) that grows out well and I don't need to use products with - surprisingly, this often has seemed to be a tall order!
