Just browsing the "what are you wearing today thread" and every other person seems to be in something that sounds quite nice from Zara.
Am I missing something with this shop? I consider myself a pretty nifty shopper - can happily score bargains and finds in all sorts of places - I will rifle through tkmax rails for ages for a find but whenever I go on Zara I feel a bit lost and come out empty handed.
It just seems a bit all over the place and expensive a for what it is.
I did however get a cute outfit for my baby boy last time I was in
( default shopping option when I can't find anything for me).

It's my go to shop. I'm 5ft 2in and a size 10 so definitely not a tall willowy type. Sizing is a bit hot and miss. Some I can't get past my thighs (which are big), way too long (which is odd as I never think of Spanish people as tall), reasonably priced, beautiful kid's clothes, great accessories, love their coats, I actually don't know where I'd goof they closed down. Quality is poor though!

  • excuse all my typos - on my phone and I hit 'post' without reviewing it first. Silly chubby fingers!!!

I used to work close enough to pop in to Zara regularly but only managed to buy a few things, so it's expensive in terms of time expended vs. stuff bought. That said the things I have are lovely, including a pencil skirt that's 8 years old, that looks like it's Hugo Boss. Last summer I got a pair of skinny patterned trousers that I love and are good quality.

i am slim and often find their tops are too narrow in the arms. Zara is the only place where I have this problem.

Zara boys tops age 12 to 14 fit me well: I have some weekends bits from there including a lovely sub-Paul Smith scarf.

I used to shop at Mango too: their stuff could look great but too many things washed terribly. They shrank or stains didn't wash out. I like to keep things a long time if I like them so stopped going there.

Somedays you are lucky with Zara and others its downright disappointing! Going off them now, and prefer Mango.

The Zara we have nearest to me is at Lakeside. The customer service in there is fantastically poor. I've never been in there when there haven't been massive long queues for the tills with a couple of staff working at a snails pace.
