Morticia, you also need heeled brown boots .

I have heeled black long boots, black equestrian flat boots, black riding boots for actually riding, black wedge heeled ankle boots, brown flat long boots and brown heeled long boots. None of these are superfluous to requirements, and I wouldn't mind some cowboy boots and some red ankle boots to replace ones that fell apart recently.

FIMBOnABroomstick · 17/10/2006 19:40

I love shoes and boots - can't get enough of them. Zara have a gorgeous pair of pointy black suede wedges to die for.

MadameMorticiaMills · 17/10/2006 20:18

O.K., he is behind me playing some silly football game on his games machine thing. I am about to tell him I need flat black boots.

Any guesses what he may answer?

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 17/10/2006 20:22

Talking of MrsBadger - where is she? Haven't seen her around for ages.

brimfull · 17/10/2006 20:28

like a hole in the head
haven't you got a pair already

Blondilocks · 17/10/2006 20:34

I want the pointy stiletto boots that I saw in River Island. They are totally unpractical & expensive & I probably wouldn't wear them much but I want them!!

MadameMorticiaMills · 17/10/2006 20:34

Well he didn't actually say anything, he just made a pityful wailing noise.

That'll be a 'yes' then.

Mercy · 17/10/2006 20:46

OK, I need

flat black or brown boots - slim fitting, size 4/37

casual but warm coat, maybe jacket

some warmish trousers, not dry clean only

Catch is, trousers need to be size 6 petite

Coat etc need to be size 8, not petite

anniemac, do you work in the fashion industry? Your descriptions are so fab (and totally out of my league but I love it!)

Agree x10 re some NZ 'styles'!!!!

has anyone seen any good brown trouser suits? The only one I can find so far which I like is in Hobbs and a bit pricey

KTeepee · 18/10/2006 09:45

edie they have brown cord trouser suits in Next at the moment - or is cord too casual?

I desperately need some short black boots with a heel - no more than 2 inches high and NOT stilleto type. Has anyone seen any?

Okay, well all I really really want is a black or grey wrap cardi, long, preferably with belt!

I had one a couple of years ago which I wore out as I could wear it with pratically anything, I can't seem to find one at the mo!

Not snobby no! Poor actually, saw a lovely wrap cardigan on toast site, £155! Ahhhh

Looked at Peacocks, think I see the one you mean, but web photo only shows top third! I see we have on in Edinburgh too, down Leith, so I may go and check it out, thanks!

LaDIEDaDIE · 18/10/2006 20:11

I need!:

Flat boots, maybe slouchy ones prob in black.

Pumps poss in a funky colour, thinking purple or silver.

High shoes/boots for evenings out.

New skinny leg jeans or skinny flares in dark blue or grey.

Sweater dress, pref in red.

Couple of long sleeve t-shirt tops.

Grey and mustard stripy v-neck from FCUK.

3 pairs of trousers for going back to work in Jan.

1 or 2 skirts for going back to work.

7ish tops for work, tend to wear smart short sleeved tops, often from Next, with a cardigan over the top.

I have already bought:

Grey woolly long belted cardigan, £10 from Primark, bargain.

Black cords, bit of a disappointment as when I wear them they gape around the waist.

Longish emerald green v-neck from Topshop.

Black and cream stripy polo neck from River Island.

Black long top with litlle sleeves and tie at neck from Miss Selfridge, could be dressy, could be casual depending on accessories.

I like autumn/winter clothes . It's just a pity mat leave pays so badly.

Hi

I need a wardrobe for winter!
I had DD in Feb and last winter I didn't buy anything apart from maternity clothes so this year I don't have anything at all. All old jumpers are too frumpy/worn out.

Anniemac - can you offer me any advice for key things for my wardrobe? I am returning to work part time in Feb, work in a smart suited office.
I don't need any boots though (got long/short brown and black leather/suede boots.... that's the thing I DID buy during pregnancy!).

Unfortunately I'm a pear shape (well sort of, I kid myself I'm hourglass as have defined waist but don't have big boobs). I struggle with what suits me and think I dress far older than my 29 yrs. I don't wear skirts but would love to.

Really want a new image, I look like a frump!

thanks

Blondilocks · 18/10/2006 21:16

In fact I just need clothes, lots & lots of new ones! & Shoes!

I'd quite like some 3/4 length smart trousers as saw several ppl wearing them out at the weekend & they looked quite good with heels.

I'd like some flat boots to wear with my denim skirts.

Some new tops and jumpers. Another coat too.

The list is endless.

fishie · 19/10/2006 09:52

i got these yesterday, v good quality nice thick cotton and great with boots. sold out in lots of branches and online though.

cod i also got that kew mini but in dark denim, it is lovely and certainly not muttonf (i am 37). there are also lots of lovely jumpers there but i take an 18 in tops and they aren't big enough

oh dear that's a shame, it fits me ok but i am big top half with skinny legs so sticking out good to add balance.

LiliLaTigresse · 19/10/2006 15:15

ok may I tell you about my purchases yesterday?
for my first ever venture into New Look, I bought a very nice, well cut pair of wide grey wool-mix trousers for £25! That's very good for me as am crap at buying cheap stuff. Wanted them to go with a lovely delicate black silk top I have (with white detailing). Bought a black camisole to go under said top (as is see-through) in M&S, also has white lacey detail at top and bottom and is super soft, very pleased with it.
I then got a fab black patent belt in Kew for the same outfit, and a long pearl (fake....) necklace in John Lewis.
I am so happy with all this and most of all the trousers, which I expected to be bad quality and badly cut (they're lined!)
