Where are they from? I'm tempted but would like to go and try on first. Also, don't want to spend a fortune. Any suggestions? Thank you.

they make me look ENORMOUS.
I am wondering who they do flatter tbh - not fatties.. maybe just those size 8

noddyholder · 07/01/2015 18:03

I am not an 8 by any means! Most of my mates wear them like that rolled with heels or shoe boots not an 8 among us (anymore!) Grin they are flattering if you get the right pair

noddyholder · 07/01/2015 18:06

www.hm.com/gb/product/72496?article=72496-A these are great on

AmberNectarine · 07/01/2015 18:29

I'm an 8 and look shit in them. Got fat legs though.

frankietwospots · 07/01/2015 18:42

I'm an 8 with slim legs so I look daft in the really baggy ones. However, I find that the 'slim boyfriend' variety are much better. My friend who is a 12 looks great in hers (Gap boyfriends) but she also has the height to carry them off.

ZammoMcGuire · 07/01/2015 19:01

those are just ..'jeans' Nod Confused

noddyholder · 07/01/2015 19:33

They are looser than the pic looks def that tapered shape on me I have gap ones too darker but missing somewhere in the last house move! Anyway I like that look its easy and flattering on me anyway

WhereIsMyFurryHat · 07/01/2015 22:47

I'm a 10/12 and gap sexy boyfriends are very flattering.

I think it is also quite difficult to adjust to non clingy jeans if you're used to wearing skinny jeans.
Straight leg jeans are also very flattering if you're not ready for boyfriends.

Also, forgot to mentions the original boyfriend, Levi 501s. You can pic them up relatively cheaply on eBay.

ZammoMcGuire · 08/01/2015 07:10

Sigh 501s now that's a Boyf look

Bunbaker · 08/01/2015 07:14

It's January. What do you wear on your feet under your shoes with them? Socks wouldn't be a good look.

WhereIsMyFurryHat · 08/01/2015 07:44

I wear them with boots, not quite the same as this blog but similar stylingdutchman.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/boyfriend-jeans-and-social-construct-of.html?m=1

noddyholder · 08/01/2015 07:49

I wear them like that too. I sometimes wear fine socks with certain shoes I have some fie black with lurex thread which were nice at xmas

WhereIsMyFurryHat · 08/01/2015 09:00

They sound nice Noddy. I'm all for an exposed couple of inches of sock, opens up a whole new world of winter footwear and trousers/ jeans.

noddyholder · 08/01/2015 09:07

Cos has socks that are fit to be seen Grin and not expensive I sometimes wear rolled up bf jeans nice socks and loafers flat and heeled with a big jumper

mowglik · 08/01/2015 09:16

Yup I dont bother with the idea that -shock horror- your socks should not be visible under your boyfriend jeans. I wear mine with all my ankle boots short ones that show socks and slightly longer ones that end just at the cuff. Can't wait to wear these with Birkenstocks in the summer..heels I've only
done once but it did look nice, I just don't really wear heels.

And I think it can be a flattering look, esp if you are a bit top heavy and wear these loose jeans with a slightly fitted top. I like to cover my arse so wear these with longline vests - so lots going on but I think the look is pretty forgiving so it looks good

I find them way more comfy than skinnies as well feel like im wearing bootcuts again

dietstartsmonday · 08/01/2015 09:29

does this look work on short people. 5 foot size 10/12??

santamarianovella · 08/01/2015 10:18

I love them, have several pairs, the best are CE, the fling and traveller are my favourite,
They look better if you downsize,

JoyceDivision · 09/01/2015 13:29

toastandmarmiterocks · 09/01/2015 21:27

So my £10 uniqlo bargain jeans have arrived and I have to say I love them! I mean, boyfriend jeans are never going to be that flattering are they? £10!!! rude not to... They are not too baggy and the rips are not actually rips so no flesh on display but the look will take a little bit of getting used to. I've got them on with slippers at the moment, possibly not the best way to showcase them Grin I have Hudson boots which might work or I was just thinking my trainers (Nike Air Pegasus). Not sure, can't wait for birkenstocks in the summer.
