Pre teen girls clothes. Where can I buy decent quality items.

I live in a small city but the choice for pre teen girls is terrible.
Next is too young now as is m&s. H&M is crap now.
She isn't quite big enough for small women's. So top shop and teen Zara are out.
She like New Look teen range but the don't have much stock.

She would like a chequered shirt but I can't find one anywhere in her size.
Age 11-12

Where do you shop for your 11 yr olds?

I got my dd 11 nice clothes from H&M online instore wasnt good, Tammy in BHS is another good one this year and sometimes new look!

Kylie range at M&Co is OK.

DD fits a six 6 petite in Next or a size 6 possibly 8 in New Look. Her most recent purchases have been a shirt and cardi from New Look and a jumper from Next adult range; plus jeans from Next 3 -16 range (the skinny beaded ones). So she goes between children's ranges and adult ones

To be honest I don't bother to look at the teen ranges, I mostly go for things in a size 6 in the women's section. Dd likes them better and they fit just as well.

I have a small skinny 12yo and find BHS great for her. Can honestly say I've bought nothing in that place for 20 years but it is the bees for preteen girls.

Actually, I haven't been in a supermarket that has clothes for so long, that's not a bad idea, I have a huge tescos about 15 mins away.
We have tried small women's but they are still too big.
I also didn't realise H and M did online.
Primark is ok but the quality is very hit and miss.
Boden is too girly as is next.

Omg. The H and M website is so user unfriendly.

Try esprit and gap. Still buy next trousers for dd who is a petite 13 and h&m skinny jeans

Gap's been good this season and in the sale - got dd a plaid shirt online, she wears it a lot

DD needs to have a good poke around though to find anything worthy of her individual style and not girly, not pink nor age-inappropriate.

Peacocks has the odd thing that my DD decides is cool Enough for her ..but she is a v small 11yr old and it is very difficult buying stuff that will fit her but isn't babyish as she says

Zara kids is too young and Zara teens is too big. Same with H and M.
Out of principle I won't buy from Mango.

There is definatly a market for pre teen clothes that are not polyester shite.

Sounds like a shop for kids not pre teens.

I bought a dress from Mango a couple of years ago online.
It was not great so I returned it. They never acknowledged my refund even though I kept emailing.
So I ended up being out of pocket.
I don't have a mango shop anywhere close so couldn't go into a shop to deal with it.
So I decided I would never buy from them again.

DD wears age 11 clothes but needs adjustable waists still.

She buys cords and jogging bottoms from Boden, Long sleeved T Shirts from Boden and Next and then it's a case of spotting something in other shops.

It doesn't help you but I buy loads when we go to france, they seem to do teenage clothes so much better.

H and m is ok but quality ain't great really. Have to look carefully. Not the same for boys, strangely.

Top Shop can't be out - some of their clothes are teeny tiny. DD is 11 and very underweight due to an illness but some of their size 6 tops fit her quite snugly. She tends to buy the cropped tops which aren't that short on her but she wears a vest top underneath too. They also do size 4 in some things, definitely not sized for 'real women'!

Johnnie B range from Boden- currently many things have 60% off in sale including skirts, so quite reasonably priced.

To be honest I wouldn't spend a lot on pre teen clothes anyway, things go out of trend so fast in that age group it's better to just get some cheap things and change them more often - that's why primark is so good and it's actually really fashionable amongst teens. Their skinny jeans and their hoodies are the ones my dd and her friends love best. I wouldn't spend masses on things even if I had the money to be honest. New look online and primark are brilliant.

Matalan have some nice items. I bought my dds some nice crop tops, dresses and skirts.

She does love primark.
I do, it's cheap.
But some things that she wears a lot look terrible after a couple of washes.
The leggings that are cotton last 5 minutes.
She also likes top shop but it £££££ for any thing other than a crop top.
Haven't looked at Matalan
BHS is in town. I did get her a lovely school skirt from there recently.
Could be worth venturing back.

I do like river island kids clothes but again there isn't one within a sensible distance.
