Please stop me spending £215

I've fallen in love with these boots. I've found an alternative pair in Dune, but they are more orange than brown.

I really want brown, slouchy, mid calf, low heel boots and these are perfect... I am going to have to get them aren't I?

They look like 1980's nightmares to me. To be worn with ski pants for optimum style points.

Tbh, I'm sure you can get something much cheaper in the same or a v v v similar style for much less if £215 is pushing it for you.

(Not that I mean I regularly chuck £200+ at footwear)

How much do you usually spend on a pair of boots (this would make a difference to my answer)

I'm struggling in all honesty - I'm only 5ft1, so the full length ones go up to my knee and I'm not keen on the ankle boots. Everything else seems very chunky or really high heeled.

I want to wear them with skinnies. I can't find any others that I'm particularly drawn to.

Or maybe it's more elf-like. An 80's elf. You just need some leggings with floral pattern and maybe a fluffy pastel-coloured top.

Honestly, if you have the dosh and you like them, go for it! I bet they're gorgeous quality.

Have you looked in next? I'm sat outside school so haven't got time to look at the moment but I find next usually have versions of dune boots for half the price.

Or search on eBay for slouchy boots.

They're really fugly and look far more market stall price point then R&B.

Thankyou for making me giggle. I couldn't really justify £200 on a pair of boots anyway. But I want something to go out for dinner, shopping, pub etc that is a bit dressier, but not heely?

My trendy cousin, in the 80s used to wear her boots (like those) with slim fit jeans or an ankle length skirt and baggy blouse and wide belt.

Gabor have dark chocolate flat suede mid calf slouchy boots for about £80. Sw them on Amazon. Can't do links at the moment.
