Is this look strictly for the young & beautiful...or can us norms get away with it too?

Here

and Here

I have leather leggings. I have leopard faux fur coat. I am thinking the first look for evening, the second for daytime. I am 43 and size 8-10.

For me, a person who is old enough to remember Bet Lynch, the coats are a definite no no. They just seem so brassy and tacky, even the expensive ones! As for the leather trousers, if you are an 8-10, definitely wear them. Jigsaw have some gorgeous ones but they are just shy of £500!

I love it, was just looking at a leopard print coat earlier today, I think it looks great, I'm 37 and would wear it without question, love the idea of the converse with leather leggings too....oh dear, I thought I was done shopping for now.,.

The jacket could be a bit mutton dressed as lamb, sorry!

noddyholder · 08/11/2014 14:23

I hate that expression

Floisme · 08/11/2014 14:31

Don't you just love the way young people borrow our clothes and then try and tell us we're too old to wear them Grin

Ujjayi · 08/11/2014 16:24

Floisme I've just declared my love for you on the other faux fur thread...

Noddy - me too.

I remember Bet Lynch very clearly. I'm not suggesting that I wear a low-cut leopard top with a faux fur coat, miniskirt, donut bun and massive hoop earrings. I'm talking about taking one "Bet Lynch" item and styling in a very dressed down way.

Soz!

McFox · 08/11/2014 17:44

Definitely, I'm 39 and I get away with it, I love this look Smile

BettyNettle · 08/11/2014 21:59

Love both looks and have to get away from this board because I have no cash at the moment but feel inspired now!

Personally, I am neither keen on converse trainers nor on beanies... Seems a bit too Alicia Silverstone circa 1993 for me. I didn't even like or wear those items back in the day!
