Is this look strictly for the young & beautiful...or can us norms get away with it too?

Here

and Here

I have leather leggings. I have leopard faux fur coat. I am thinking the first look for evening, the second for daytime. I am 43 and size 8-10.

Your figure looks amazing! The coat, not so much... Sorry, I still hate it Grin

sunflower49 · 07/11/2014 14:24

I think you look great!

Or should that be, Fabulous, Darling ! Wink

Ujjayi · 07/11/2014 14:39

TimeForAnotherChange Grin thank you and I love honesty so thank you for the coat comment too!

sunflower: thank you daaahling!

Ha ha, I have that coat too and I'm an ashtanga person too Grin. I like it all except for the brown/beige jumper. I'd wear either a black one or a bright colour for contrast.

noddyholder · 07/11/2014 14:43

Love the coat!

FibonacciSeries · 07/11/2014 14:43

...and I'm blonde too. If it wasn't because of your long legs, I'd think you are me! Grin

Ujjayi · 07/11/2014 14:53

FibonacciSeries - I agree black or a bright magenta would look fab and I will try that too. BTW, I really don't have long legs - long body, short legs. That's how amazingly flattering those trousers are! They really do lengthen and slim.

I love the rest of the outfit too, especially the undershirt peeking underneath the sweater, and the boots are luscious. It's just the coat Blush

imip · 07/11/2014 15:46

Thanks ujjayi I would never have thought to look at ebay! I may even also look at black faux fur coats

BackforGood · 07/11/2014 15:50

Definite 'No' from me too.
Awful look.
totally a 'Bet Lynch' look as others have said - verging on the cheap and tarty IMVHO, I'm afraid.

Ujjayi · 07/11/2014 16:22

Wow. Been a couple of decades since I was last called "cheap & tarty" ConfusedGrin. I just hope that was in relation to the concept generally rather than my photo GrinGrin

Ujjayi didn't you start the "should I get leather leggings thread" a couple of weeks ago? Does that mean you purchased and are keeping?! Great news, I am loving my leather/gaberdine pair and am awaiting the arrival of a Joseph full leather pair from Vestiare Co, can't wait!
I wear with converse (plain black or plain white) during the day, leopard fur isn't for me, but you would definitely get away with it where I live, day or night. I'm wearing with a long black or grey jumper or sweatshirt, and a parka (which is more necessity than fashion with all this rain at the moment!)
(And I am your age and size too)

Sunna · 07/11/2014 16:26

A bit too Bet Lynch for me.

Floisme · 07/11/2014 16:27

It looks great.

BlueEyedWonder · 07/11/2014 16:37

I love the whole look and would definitely wear it.

Ujjayi · 07/11/2014 16:49

TopTrumps1: yes I started the leather leggings thread. Very jealous of your Joseph find. I will be wearing with sweatshirts too.

ShoesAndPsychology · 07/11/2014 16:50

I love your look, the whole ensemble co-ordinates well. For the peeps who think it looks Bet Lynch- if you stick to one piece of leopard print & keep the rest of the outfit in plain colours it is neither Lynchy or tarty, try it- you'll smile! Smile

Floisme · 07/11/2014 16:53

It's definitely not Bet Lynch. Not that there's anything wrong with that but she'd never have been seen in a brown jumper.

BackforGood · 07/11/2014 17:30

Yes OP - it definitely was me commenting on the original links - I hadn't seen your photo at the time Grin. It's the 'look' I don't like, but if you can rock it, then great, wear what you like!

CambridgeBlue · 07/11/2014 17:42

Can someone link to the leather leggings thread please? I love this look but am not sure I can pull it off so need a bit of help :).

nilbyname · 07/11/2014 17:45

So I wore it today too-

Black skinnie jeans- topshop
Black ankle boots- ash look a likes
white t-shirt-zara
leopard coat-boo hoo.com
black beanie-gap

I got masses of compliments!

SofaCanary · 07/11/2014 19:35

Big thumbs up from me, for the outfit and the legs!

Ujjayi · 07/11/2014 20:38

BackForGood - I want you to know that I took it in good humour, regardless GrinWink

Will try & find leggings thread.

Thanks for all comments Wink
