Hello!

Following on from puffin faces lovely thread about great things you keep buying.

Everything I thought of was stuff which they have stopped making (or I'm too stupid to find it).

Mine are... This amazing rose scented peel off face mask. I used to do it weekly and it made my skin amazing. So soft (I'd love a suggestion of a replacement).

Simple make up remover used to be amazing but now seems to make my eyes stream. I've tried others but they all seem to make them sting, or go blurry.

Hmmm, there was another one which I loved but I can't remember it now!

John Frieda is owned by a Japanese company these days (Kao Corporation). Perhaps this had changed their priorities and hence their range?

Chanel lipstick no.9 Lover - the perfect wearable red.
L'Occitane Amber fragrance. Discontinued and replaced with Amber and Sandalwood - not so good.

Cahu5 · 05/11/2014 22:50

Elle Mcphersons body range sold in Boots.... Honey and lime, shower gel, scrub, body lotion.... Gorgeous and amazing smell. It just seemed to disappear from the shelves one day, sob!

niminypiminy · 05/11/2014 23:06

Clinique Almost Makeup, and Clinique Rosy Plum lipstick -- perfect everyday shade alas discontinued years ago, still mourned.

leedy · 06/11/2014 12:21

Heh, cirrusblue, I'm wearing Saint Natural now! They are a reasonable substitute, but a lot more expensive.

PrimalLass · 07/11/2014 10:56

Oh I loved hairomatherapy - the purple one.

Neena28 · 08/11/2014 18:56

cahu5 totally agree with you about the elle range. Loved the smell and have never found a body scrub that comes close.

AsBrightAsAJewel · 08/11/2014 19:48

Clinique Workout Foundation

boodles · 08/11/2014 21:11

The Elle macpherson range smells like lush ocean salt. I still have a couple of tubes of her hand cream.

vivlevyhandbagqueen · 09/11/2014 08:57

Dead sea mud mask.
Almay make up
Vidal Sasson shampoo and conditioner- the almondy 80s stuff
Clinique Stay True foundation
A curl texturiser in a pink and white pump up dispenser-another of John Frienda 's or possibly Trevor Sorbie-God it was good -disappeared around 2004.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/11/2014 09:06

Philosophy Greatest Love. Best exfoliator ever
Evian skincare range - cheap and brilliant

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/11/2014 09:07

Oh yes I loved that Vidal Sassoon stuff.

hollyisalovelyname · 10/11/2014 19:23

I wish Revlon would put the scent of Flex into a perfume / eau du toilette.
I LOVE Coty's Wild Musk. I wish they'd sell it here. You can get it in drugstores in the U.S. But I can't afford to go at the moment.
Also Coty did little blusher compacts way back and the one called Golden was the business. I used it as a bronzer.
If only companies would tell us they are withdrawing a product or reformulating a product so we can stock up.

Whippet81 · 11/11/2014 06:48

The Body Shop's Tangerine Beer shampoo. It was in a tub and you had to scoop it out Sad

FriskyMare · 11/11/2014 06:52

L'Occitane have improved their Rose 4 Reines collection and it is not the same. Sobs Sad

Uptheairymountain · 11/11/2014 07:15

Estee Lauder's Beautiful Sheer scent. It was wonderful and now it's gone.

I'm now making do with Yardley's Lily Of The Valley (after sniffing dozens of various perfume samples in department stores) but it's not the same. Beatiful Sheer suited me .

fanjobiscuits · 11/11/2014 07:34

Body shop did a brilliant pineapple face wash which got my face really clean without drying it, and did wonders for my spots.

rockpinkpumpkin · 11/11/2014 10:54

That pineapple facewash! Yes i remember, had enzymes in?

Stupidhead · 11/11/2014 10:58

Someone earlier mentioned the blackhead strips, oxy not being as good as Biore?

Shush...buy duck-tape...seriously. It's the bollocks for blackheads Grin

DisgruntledAardvark · 11/11/2014 11:04

Soap & Glory Hair Supply. It was a conditioning mask type thing in a squeezy tube, I got it in one of the big kits years ago; could never find it again. It was perfect Sad Left my hair really smooth without making it greasy. Their hair stuff is still good but nothing as good as this!

lisej · 11/11/2014 11:52

I second whoever said Skinny Dip from Lush - I miss that so much. Smelled amazing and was so great for my skin.

Lots of stuff from Lush actually - Afterlife moisturiser was the mutt's nuts - so healing for the skin. And their Oxeo Cube deodorant, and Alkmaar soap (purely for the scent) and Gumback Express body scrub. Their range these days is nowhere near as good.

I also remembered earlier today that Miss Sporty used to sell eye glosses back in the day. I always used a bronzey coloured one and it was fab. I guess nobody uses gloss on their eyelids now, though.

AmazingDisgrace · 11/11/2014 11:55

Vidal Sassoon hairspray and the three step shampoo, conditioner stuff were fabulous.

Prescriptives custom blend foundation I really miss as well as their serum

Soap and Glory wish upon a jar 3 week collagen mousturiser, replaced by a night cream that just isn't as good.
