I don't get the Kardashian thing; I think she looks a mess this outfit is particularly dreadful. Makes her look massive. And it needs ironed. Why is she an icon?!!?

It is just another 'current' look. There is no promotion of body acceptance, the KK template is different to the androgynous model one, but it is still a template, and still all about women being valued on looks alone.

I agree with Leviticus and I think its all a bit spooky too. Some anthropologists think that men like big boobs because of their monkey brains. Monkeys stick their bottoms out and therefore men are attracted to breasts because they are hardwired to be attracted to anything resembling a bottom! not sure I agree with this. However, men are being conditioned to like this very pornified look and women are seeking to emulate this look through plastic surgery. Instead we should be seeking a more healthy outlook that finds beauty in what is natural and normal, not allowing this commodification process of women's bodies. It effects women psychologically plus for the most part none of us can live up to these standards because there are huge disparities not just of looks and body shape but the money to pay for such procedures.

This is not about appearance. Her natural appearance is miles away from the cartoon one she's selling and the tabloids are peddling.

This is about the image she's projecting. And it's a fake, vacuous and empty image.

The difference between me and Kim is she wants publicity, she needs it. She wants people to talk about her and comment on her. I don't.

Don't hate her, hate the media for not showing better female role models. She can do what she likes in my opinion.

I do quite like that she's promoting a different body image to most celebs though. It may be just as unattainable but still, it is nice to see something other than a size 00.

I also don't think there are any celebs who haven't had some work done.

I don't hate KK for her looks (beautiful face, cartoon/freakshow body). I am dismayed that she is so in the spotlight for no apparent reason. She was in a sex tape. Her mother shopped the tape, then used it to shill the entire family. Her marriages are fake, her life is fake. I feel very sorry for her, am more baffled as to why this entire family would be newsworthy.
