Here They are gorgeous and very, very comfy. For £35!!!!!

But the shop is so grim and orthotic. What am I going to say when people ask me about them?

I love these !

Solo · 04/10/2014 19:32

How is the fit around the ankle/leg OP? would they be good for a slightly overweight bigger ankle?

IamHelenaJustina · 04/10/2014 19:50

I'm overweight myself Solo - I reckon you'd be ok.

Just had a look around the website. They do some shoes and boot brands that I used to get from Stead and Stimpson before they closed. I have quiet a few from them and they are so very comfy.

IamHelenaJustina · 04/10/2014 22:33

I can't wait for Monday so I can wear them for work Blush

:) Thank you!

Some of the Boots are lovely; I'm always on the lookout for a bit of comfort where footwear is concerned.

But they need to wave a fashion wand over the Shoes before I'll be tempted.

NHS Podiatrist (and I don't think I'd like to work in a place called Shuropody , I spend most of my time inwardly grimacing when people say Chir-opodist or Shir-opodist
It's pronounced Kir opodist - it's Greek.
It's like Chemist not Cherry

Rant over Blush

Why be embarressed?
If you went to a Dental Health clinic and bought yourself a new electric toothbrush would you be embarressed at looking after yourself?
No

So why should your poor feet not get the same consideration?

When I'm Queen I'll pass a law that everyone has to wear glass shoes for a week, just so you can see how your poor feet get squished Wink

There's one of these within a garden centre near us, surprisingly nice stuff. I'd be embarrassed to buy from them though, think it's my age!

0898 · 05/10/2014 08:06

Shame those bikers are synthetic. I thought leather was better for one's trotters?

Captainbarnacles1101 · 05/10/2014 08:09

I have bought crackin winter boots here a few urs in a row now. They are comfy, I think some styles are trendy/funky and often lined, so mega warm! Really reasonable too and the sale is a proper sale. I love that not all my friends are wearing the same bloody shoes as me.

NoMilkNoSugar · 05/10/2014 08:31

I need to go and report on the 'what have you bought today' fred, that thanks to style and beauty I just brought me some boots! Nice find OP. Did they take long to come?

IamHelenaJustina · 05/10/2014 09:52

I bought mine in the shop and it was instant Grin

Regarding the whole synthetic thing- I prefer leather but for £25 does it matter? Nice boots are nice boots Grin

I checked these out in the local garden centre today. I didn't have time to try them on but the linings and insoles feel very comfortable and they look pretty good for the price.

Fabulassie · 05/10/2014 20:40

I've walked past their shop on Deansgate many times and while I've never gone in, I have noticed that the stuff I see in the window is pretty stylish and surprisingly non-orthopaedic looking.

I buy my psi slippers from there. They are brilliant, but last year they couldn't get any in my size, 8Hmm

OP, are they true to size?

IamHelenaJustina · 07/10/2014 07:56

Size - yes I would say so. I am a 5.5-6 and bought a 6.

Ankles - I don't know. The suede is quite soft so might sort of fold in on you but I don't really know. I would say there is the potential for gape yes.

I love them but what will you do when it rains?

heebiegeebie · 07/10/2014 14:29

Thanks OP, I just bought them in brown Grin

TweedAddict · 07/10/2014 15:47

I like the walking boots ones with the red on them- is that mad????

hollowhallows · 07/10/2014 15:50

Ooh very nice. Will add them to my list of places to check out, thanks OP!

Pyjamaface · 07/10/2014 15:54
Grin

I bought a pair of boots from there last week. Half price at £25 and they are so comfy and warm they have barely been off my feet!

My friend got a pair the same in a different colour as well....
