Never done red before. Not sure what to think. Opinions?

I really like those!

This may not be a good thing, I also like art sandals Hmm

NedZeppelin · 10/09/2014 15:50

Appropriate name Cobbler, wtf are 'art sandals'?

minkah · 10/09/2014 15:51

Gorgeous cranberry colour, funky style. What's not to love?!

BeyoncesCat · 10/09/2014 15:51

Can't see them on the app do you have a link?

Lucked · 10/09/2014 15:53

The colour is lovely and it will go with lots of stuff. The style is not for me..., I think I will leave it there as style is very personal.

Amrapaali · 10/09/2014 15:54

Good colour, nice heels but the style is a bit orthopaedic...

NedZeppelin · 10/09/2014 15:55

try this except in red

Orthopedic but very comfortable. They are for work.

Art sandals. Subject of much ridicule on mumsnet.

here they are

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 10/09/2014 19:20

Love red shoes but not them sorry. They look like something my nan used to wear.
Also they look more dark pink than red. If you're more concerned about comfort than style then they do look very comfy,

minkah · 10/09/2014 19:28

They are stylish. Just not mainstream style.

ageingdisgracefully · 10/09/2014 19:43

Yay! I have these in black. They are fab. I even wore them to bed once, by mistake??.

Comfy enough to wear without socks. And achingly stylish. At least I think so. Sort of grannyish and architecty at once.

Go for it!

Pastperfect · 10/09/2014 19:46

Awful. Sorry

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/09/2014 19:47

Like the colour but hate the style. Sorry.

TortoiseshellSpecs · 10/09/2014 19:47

Clumpy.

I'm not a fly fan anyway, so probably the worst person to ask.

TortoiseshellSpecs · 10/09/2014 19:48

And yes, very "corrective" looking.

Fabulassie · 10/09/2014 19:48

It would have to depend on what you wore the with. But I think they could be really cute.

BunnyLebowski · 10/09/2014 19:50

They are achingly ugly.

I love red shoes but definitely not these ones. Fug central.

Amandaclarke · 10/09/2014 20:01

Dreadful, can't see them working with anything or one anyone irrespective of age. However I accept I might be "not with it" so would love those who like them to post some ideas of what you would wear with them Grin

Pandsbear · 10/09/2014 20:18

I really like them. But then I often think the so-called stylish boots on here are horrendous...

If you like them and will wear them - then do.

bewleysisters · 10/09/2014 20:19

Ooh like those - orthopaedic in a cool way. Like the art sandals too, especially in tartan colour-way.

Amrapaali · 10/09/2014 21:57

How about this red?

Or were you particular about the laces?

ageingdisgracefully · 10/09/2014 22:01

amanda I think they'd look good with tights and a shortish, tight skirt. Cute, but not tarty.

I wear mine with a baggyish shirt and leggings. Or a baggyish jumper and leggings. In a sort of preppy way?

This look was popular back in the 90's. Sort of pared back, slightly kooky and a bit arty.

heartshapedflux · 10/09/2014 22:02

I love red shoes and boots - I must have at least 10 pairs in different styles. Red suits me and goes with a surprisingly large amount of my clothes.

I love the colour of your boots, but the style isn't my favourite. I don't mind the laces or the wedge, but the two together are a tad "crazy cat lady" in my opinion. Sorry.

Amandaclarke · 10/09/2014 23:11

ageing, I get the look of tights with a shortish, tight skirt

I get the look of a baggyish shirt and leggings or baggyish jumper and leggings but I don't get those shoes with it...I would prefer a Doc Martin or even a low heel tight fitting long boot (has to be at least up to the knee none of this calf fit nonsence unless you are 6'2") with the outfits you are describing, those look like you are trying to be up to date by wearing a wedge but stuck back somewhere and trying to get back, they look like a clarkes answer to and older ladies "fashion/comfort" and they are failing miserably. Secondary to that you would assume the wearer has a foot problem that they need to work through.

I just don't get it. AT ALL maybe I am getting on a bit Confused
