Just bought strappy sandals

Feet are skanky, what is the miracle product or the secret regime I should be following, please? Plus, what colour toenails? Will either be wearing cream and black dress, or chocolate brown and black dress with black trousers

ewwww.
well just soak them once.

(you minger)

MarsLady · 20/09/2006 23:43

Use the black stone I tell you! Trust me... you should see my feet!

Personally I like fuschia, but plum sounds nice!

MrsBadger · 21/09/2006 08:28

[sticks head round door]

do 'em any colour you like, Franny, the fact they're painted at all is the clincher.

Personally I'd do clear because it looks less bad three weeks later when it's all chipped and I haven't bothered to take it off [slattern emoticon]

MarsLady · 21/09/2006 08:28

Don't forget to buy your flexitol and your black stone whilst you're lazing about at home F&Z or should that be Gin

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2006 12:49

I am going to do it this afternoon, Mars, I promise

Will it honestly have an effect by Saturday?

OP posts:
codwiggle · 21/09/2006 16:41

well?
are oyu smoooth

MarsLady · 21/09/2006 17:57

Indeed.... how did it go? Did you get in the bath to do it? Or are you still a hairy ar**d trucker?

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2006 21:15

Ooh it is all very strange, I was not really prepared for the mess of the stone thing, and not expecting to have to soak my feet first and all this "rub it with good quality toilet soap first - THIS IS IMPORTANT"

I have had a go with it and could see the difference but am beginning to think cod's instructions about the chiropodist are maybe easier and cheaper in the long run. I have smeared the flexitol stuff on - am now sitting with feet on a towel but what do you do in the morning after you put it on? It is a bit greasy etc, do you put socks on on top?

Have bought lovely plummy purple nail varnish, am getting excited now....

Spare yourself the trouble. At this late hour, splash out on a proper pedicure.

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2006 21:35

I think you may be right expat, unfortunately, have left it too late, but next time, I would (although think the advice about chiropodist rather than pedicure may be good too)

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 21/09/2006 21:38

REally, all you need is the tube of Flexitol for maintenance. I've found it's cheaper in Superdrug. A fiver.

Slather it on at night. If it starts to irritate, just do it every other night.

And say goodbye to horned hoofs!

I swear by Dr. Scholl's AHA footscrub, too. And jojoba oil.

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2006 21:51

Thanks all, you are kind and dedicated hoof-rescuers

codwiggle · 21/09/2006 21:53

AChickleBorther · 21/09/2006 21:54

FrannyandZooey · 21/09/2006 21:55

mais non

I am going for girl's night out with proper girls' shoes on

I may dance round my teeny weeny beaded handbag

OP posts:
EmmyLou · 21/09/2006 22:45

Get some of those gel filled pads for bottom of shoes (inside) to prevent balls of feet feeling as if they are going to explode after a mere thrice dancing round of handbag.

MarsLady · 22/09/2006 00:27

Do your feet again tomorrow. Honestly, if you put in the time it's worth the effort.

FrannyandZooey · 22/09/2006 08:05

Ok Mars I am staying in this morning, what do I do, put that flexitol stuff on and then a pair of socks? I will do the scraping thing again tonight, I promise, Miss.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 22/09/2006 08:06

And thanks Emmy - it is going to be mostly sitting down evening so I am hoping to cope, but will remember that tip

OP posts:
Tutter · 22/09/2006 08:23

mars - i also have black stone thingy (nelson's?) but can't remember how i'm supposed to use it. is it wet stone, dry feet, or vice versa?

FrannyandZooey · 22/09/2006 08:34

Tutter - mine says soak your feet, then wet stone and "rub with good quality toilet soap - this is very important"

Bizarre.

OP posts:
MarsLady · 22/09/2006 10:38

Get in the bath, use any soap. Soap the stone and rub!

When you've gotten out of the bath rub flexitol onto your feet.

All done

colditz · 23/09/2006 08:16

Well how are they looking then?

FrannyandZooey · 23/09/2006 08:49

I forgot them yesterday

but even after one go on Thursday they are vastly improved, to the extent that I rubbed them up against dp in bed last night and he said "ooh your feet feel all soffy"

I think I must have been a mild case after all

OP posts:
colditz · 23/09/2006 09:32

Do it again today and they will be fab.
