What do people wear to weddings?

I'm never invited to any due to having no family/ having a severely autistic DS.

But my DPs brother is getting married and me and DS are invited! This is a big thing because my own family basically fucked us off because of DSs disability.

But what do I wear? I hardly have any money due to leaving teaching to care for DS. Anyone got any cheap ideas?

I think that's wedding appropriate with the right shoes. I'd maybe lose the black socks.

I'd definitely go with that one. Its far more weddingy. Could you get a cream/white pashmina instead of your black cardigan. You can pick them up for a few pounds on market stalls or ebay. It would then elevate it to another level.

Agree with others - you look great, dress is striking, don't need to lose any weight, your Ds's photography is better than mine and lose the socks!
