Bloody lovely slippers

Am in the market for a pair of lovely slippers that will bring joy into my life.

Do I go sheepskin or felt?

I want to pad about my home pretending I'm in a Scandinavian crime drama.

yeah, but nothing like them for toasty feet in a Scottish winter! And you can wear them outside putting the bins out etc.

Just seen this thread! I'm a big fan of "bloody lovely" slippers too. Made my own Joe's Toes slippers you can mix and match the different sections to get the colours you want and different sorts of sole.
What do you think? Proper thick woolly felt. Not synthetic and so far not smelly.

Sheepskin is the way to go.

I have some suede Fitflop Goghs which are super comfy and as they are outdoor shoes have a sole you can nip out in. I think mine are in their third year of use and still going strong and not stinky at all. I got mine when they were 50% off and there are similar deals on them at the moment. Highly recommend them.

I think these from Plumo are rather lovely

OP - have a look at Ugg slippers. I have Celtic Sheepskin soft soled slippers which are super comfy but no support if you stand a lot. Last Christmas I got Ugg moccasin-type slippers. They have a rubber sole so really supportive and are simply the most comfortable footwear ever!

MrsMcGregor · 09/09/2014 22:48

I got these except mine are a dark grey with sparkles!

MillyDots · 09/09/2014 22:54

I am buying a pair of these Celtic houseboots (think they are already mentioned up thread) next week. I have wanted them for years. Its soooo very cold where I live so I really need them.

I have just saved on my mahabis slipper with voucher codes here - www.voucherix.co.uk/vouchers/mahabis-voucher-codes/

allsnfoster · 11/06/2015 14:10

it seems they've changed their pages for mahabis - www.voucherix.co.uk/vouchers/mahabis/

I second the recommendation for Haflinger - I bought DP a pair 2 christmases ago. They are comfy, smart and still look as good as new! I'm waiting for him to return the favour.

mahabis slippers are great and compy. it is even greater to save some money on them with mahabis discount codes here - www.voucherix.co.uk/vouchers/mahabis/

Debbyplexico · 03/01/2017 19:07

Whatever you do, don't buy Mahabis slippers. Lovely to look at, really expensive, but soles separate from uppers within a month of wearing.
Absolutely NO WAY to contact the firm. They run you around and around without refunding or replacing.

Cavort · 15/09/2017 13:27

I have worn my Mahabis every day for over a year and the sole is still firmly attached.

Blossomdeary · 15/09/2017 13:35

Forget Mahabis - I bought a pair for my OH and they had to be replaced because the sole came unstuck - as did the sole on the replacement, at which point I asked for my money back.

I love my Homeys!
