Would you buy a pair of shoes a size to small?

If they were in the sale at 1/3 of original price, and they looked fabulous on, and you would only wear them for the occasional night out. And obviously your feet were really hot and swollen today, and on an autumn evening the shoes would fit perfectly.

Yep. Just wear them around the house with socks for a bit to ease them off a bit.

sonlypuppyfat · 04/08/2014 18:58

Look up Chinese foot binding and give that a go.

MrsLettuce · 04/08/2014 18:58

I might. Agree about wearign with sock but (if they can take it) it's best to wear them with vaseline on any potential rubbing spots after that too.

Pico2 · 04/08/2014 18:58

I've done it - I wouldn't recommend it.

MrsPresley · 04/08/2014 18:59

A full size too small? No

Not worth being, sore uncomfortable and damaging my feet anymore than they are

LEMmingaround · 04/08/2014 19:00

Really? Why?

MrsLettuce · 04/08/2014 19:01

I was assuming they're a shoe that come up big, so more a 1/4 size too small and the actual 'right size' being too big. Is thta not right?

Madaboutthrows · 04/08/2014 19:01

No

RonaldMcDonald · 04/08/2014 19:02

absolutely not

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 04/08/2014 19:02

No. I can't bear tight shoes and wouldn't last even an hour in them.

WitchWay · 04/08/2014 19:11

I have done this in the past to grab a bargain & it was awful - no idea why I did it as I hate having uncomfortable feet!

ShelaghTurner · 04/08/2014 19:18

No why would you. It would be agony.

Bunbaker · 04/08/2014 19:26

No. I can't bear uncomfortable shoes, no matter how nice they look. They would be a waste of money.

How silly.

flipchart · 04/08/2014 19:27

No, I'm not daft.

Greengardenpixie · 04/08/2014 19:27

No, years ago i got a pair of shoes that were a size smaller because i thought they were fine at the time. I wore them around the town and was literally in agony. When i took my shoe of i had bruised my toes and my nails were black with bruises.

Floisme · 04/08/2014 19:31

Blimey You're a sensible lot, I'm very impressed! I've done it a couple of times, op. If they're leather and you wear them a few times before you go out, there's a fighting chance that they'll stretch. If they're not leather then no.

VeganCow · 04/08/2014 19:35

no. You will regret it.

SilentBob · 04/08/2014 19:37

I think pictures of said shoes are necessary for a complete and unbiased debate. Grin

divingoffthebalcony · 04/08/2014 19:37

No, it would be stupid. If they're a full size too small there are no circumstances in which you WON'T be hobbling around in pain within a couple of hours.

ouryve · 04/08/2014 19:38

No.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 04/08/2014 19:39

Hell no. Dh says he'll either either divorce me if I do it again or make me walk home. Divorce would be preferable after the last time - I still have the scars. although I'm still blaming dancing all night on a slate floor rather than admitting it was my own fault

LilyandGinger · 04/08/2014 19:56

Have done (half size too small) baaaaddd idea.

Sat in wardrobe for several years now happy gone in with the bags to school collection.

Trills · 04/08/2014 20:18

No, life is too short for uncomfortable shoes.

LynetteScavo · 04/08/2014 20:19

I can't find a link, but they were leopard print mid heal and looked much nicer than they sound. They were actually only a half size too small ( 40 instead of 41) . I didn't buy them, but was thinking of going back to the shop tomorrow......

Leopard print heels are certainly A Good Thing but I bet you could find some that fit properly for the same price.
