I've seen the Scholl pedi-remover-roll-on thingy in Tesco but it was £39.99, I know my heels are minging but I cant afford that Sad
Any other ideas? Thank you!

Corn and callous remover, Lloyds chemist. You add a razor blade. It's what they use in salons during a pedi and it's the only thing I've found that works.

Newtons chiropody sponge - the best pumice ever

Day 6 of purederm from Amazon. Am amazed at the skin that is peeling off. My feet have never looked so bad. Excited to see the new skin underneath.

Oops, meant to post on the footner thread.

Beautifullymixed · 13/08/2014 21:28

Glad you didn't!

This is next on my list to try. I want to wait until the weather gets cooler though as I love wearing open shoes.
I'm glad this works because it's so much cheaper than footner. And if it doesn't work, less of an expense.

Thanks for the pictures. Smile

I found purederm really disappointing, got to the stage you did Bloody but big chunks never peeled off. Will cough up for footer next time.

Glad the Microplane grater is working I love mine! Use it gently though or it does hurt to walk!

Cherrieberries · 17/08/2014 23:53

Oh golly same as someone already said...I coat mine in Vaseline after every shower at nightime and pop on a pair of old socks.Works brilliantly.

Smooth soft feet? Its been a lifetime quest for me. I was swayed by the Footner reviews on the Boots website and bought two cheap lookie-likies on Amazon less than £8 each. Not much of a result from either.
One of them didn't 'kick in' till day 9. very small amount of peeling and, strangely, a bit of flaking round the toes on day 12.
I've cut my heels to ribbons with a proper callous blade (seems to work counter-intuitively you have to apply a certain amount of pressure to avoid deep cuts! ).

I love my Body shop synthetic blue very crumbly pumice-type sponge but it is hard work on thicker areas.
Normal pumice stones and exfoliating scrubs and rich creams don't make a dent in my hard skin.
I read that the whiter skin is dry skin and will respond to moisturising treatments but the yellower areas are hard skin and callouses that build up for various reasons including from pressure, having too narrow footwear/ wide feet that can rub/ not contact with parts of shoe sole can't explain in proper english but you probably know what I mean if you are a sufferer.
I am inspired to revist the Newton's sponge. Thanks everyone, happy feet on their way!

I think our vanity when it comes to feet is because it's a great leveller, it's possible to have nice feet with a little care, attention & cheap products, whatever the rest of you looks like!

At the moment I'm using the Lush green foot shaped thing to exfoliate. You break a toe off (off the Lush thing, obviously) at a time otherwise it all disappears at once. Tbh I've had to put mine in a container as once it gets damp - not difficult in a bathroom - it disintegrates anyway.

I had a great heel balm from Walmart which eventually ran out. Presumably Asda do one as that is the UK Walmart? I'm not near an Asda in UK, but I second the vote for Body Shop Hemp foot Cream for after exfoliating.

I ordered the pink remover and Newtons. I think Newton's is better and has made a difference. My feet certainly feel better and don't give me so much discomfort when walking. I apply the Newton cream as well.
