I've Nc'd so my other posts aren't identifiable to me.

I have huge esteem and body issues- mainly I hate my body and I end up wearing unflattering clothing when I go out because I never find anything that suits me. When ever I look in the mirror I look shit.

I can't afford a style advisor and there isn't one in my un stylish hell local area but I'd love to see if anyone could suggest clothes that may look nice on me so I can start working on my body confidence when I'm clothed.

I know I'm in short shorts here but they're for in house only and you can see how bad everything is.

Get a grip woman there is nothing wrong with your figure whatsoever.

You have nice dark hair and suit that colour green to.
Maybe someone with the same colouring as you can suggest other colours that may suit?

Go to a salon for style advice (a new haircut is so easy and an instant boost)
Google for style advice - there's loads for free on the internet.

I like 'The vivienne files' for ideas on how to mix and match and put outfits/colours together.

I'm a dress size 14/16 depending on fit, measurements are 40-31-41 but it's all down to my excessively large thighs. I can't fit smaller sizes over my thighs.

I had my hair done at a college salon just before the schools broke up here and the hairdresser was amazing. She styled my hair in a style that would have been more in place in a high end salon but I have to wait until September for the next cut. Will take a look at the Vivienne files. Smile

Hi Flip,

I think you have a great figure, your arms are nice, slim and toned and your legs also look nice. You look like a pair shape to me - seem to carry your weight around your hips. The pintrest picture you linked to is lovey but I think you're right that trousers like that might not be the best for you. What about these or these with a plain light coloured vest top to show off your top half? I'm a pear shape and have these, they skin your hips and are very flattering.

FlipFlapFly · 24/07/2014 15:11

Those trousers are lovely, but they'll be too short on me, which is a shame.

I went shopping today and I came home thoroughly depressed. Nothing fitted me including shoes. I feel fat, ugly with giant feet. I dont need the high street to make me feel worse than I already do.

Have you tried new look for shoes? They do a wide fitting.

FlipFlapFly · 24/07/2014 21:12

Yes I did, they were the store that sold the one pair of shoes I could wear. The plimsoll style. Every other shoe was too narrow in the sole, evem wide fit.

I have freak feet

I think you have a body shape lots of women would be envious of. You just need to build a capsule wardrobe of clothes that will boost your confidence.

If you have a John Lewis or Debenhams
then book a free stylist session and see what they suggest in terms of colours & styles which suit you. You can then use their ideas as a template to go shopping with & it will save you a lot of money on expensive mistakes.
