As always I am a bit disappointed. Too many patterns. stripes and dotty-circles. The only thing that grabs me is possibly the weekend casual dress but the summer version which I have is quite low necked.

Totally agree re sleeves and tops being too short, I don't want to have to wear a vest under every top in order to get something that covers my bum!

Equally don't like the extra material they often add to the back of dresses through pleating/ ruching. My bum is big enough already thanks.

Having said all that I do have a lot of boden clothes...

Tops! I bought a lovely looking one last year. But. It's so gathered at the front it takes days for it to dry through the layers. I dare not wear it because it doesn't dry easily. ARGH!!

To go back to the sewing, I've sometimes bought 2 t-shirts in the sale and used one to add an extra 6 inches to the other. If they're stripy (which they are of course :o) you can do it so it doesn't show. I do this because I like the colours and the quality is really good. But just make them longer Boden! A LOT longer.

Is it not cheaper to buy a tunic? They are longer and probably shrink a little in the wash. Sorted with minimal effort! Wink

It's actually not cheaper as the everyday tops are v bargainous in the sale - but also the tunics haven't come in a colour I like so far! And I would have to chop and alter the tunic too as they tend to be A-line.

I'm sure they will sort it eventually and do proper long tops like Isabella Oliver. When they do, their site will crash from all the orders.

Fingers crossed! Smile

Yet another plea for longer tops, please, please. Agree tunics aren't the complete answer as not many styles and some if those are in garish 'fun type' prints ( or even bird prints).

Most waists too high too.

Do hope someone from Boden reads this!

A lot of a Gap tops are available in long length if you order online.

I so wish they would drop the waist a bit for the dresses, at least for longer length! The occasional dress where it doesn't matter where the waist is is perfect for work - well made, easily washable, long enough for the office. Just need the waists lower!!

They all look pretty normal low in the catalogue, so it's quite naughty for them to show one thing, then send you something which isn't the same. Surely it's a 'not as described' issue?

What is happening to their prices? There is a nice jumper that I like for 6yo DS. 60% cotton, 20% merino wool, 20% polydamide.

It is £35. Bloody hell! Its an outrageous price. Even with 15% off, it would be £29.75.

Their prices have always been bonkers. I wait for the sales, that way they are the same prices as a normal shop without the discounts.

Much as I don't want it to sell out while I wait for a better discount, I cant pay £29.75 after discount for a cotton mix jumper for a 6 year old.

Fair enough. If it's going to be a discount, it needs to be a better price than the equivalent of a full priced item from Next.

I like the short sleeves as I have short arms and the top are always long enough. so there.

I know, their prices for kids' dresses, jumpers and coats are eye-watering. I go on ebay for those. (Where they are still not that cheap!)

You work for Boden, don't you, Pinkfrocks? Wink Short sleeves are good if you want ¾ length. High waist isn't good for anyone!

I have short arms- runs in the family! 3/4 length are almost full length on me and full length always need turning up ( except in Boden.)

Ah, OK Smile I don't mind ¾ length, unless it's cold.
