Can anyone help me remember what these are called?

Those pretty little things you put on your shoulders to make them look nice and to also cover them up a bit. They are quite decorative.

I have to baptise DD this summer and Orthodox churches don't allow exposed shoulders.

Also links to where I may find some would be brilliant.

Thanks

Those things Mary Portaw came u with - Armery? Like tights for arms.

DuchessFanny · 13/07/2014 08:46

Is it like one of those capes, but just for shoulders ?

JetJungle · 13/07/2014 08:46

Could it be this that you're thinking of ?

If so, you can buy Mary Portas stuff from House of Fraser.

DeMaz · 13/07/2014 08:47

Thanks for the links Gini and Jules.

The thing I'm thinking about is more of an accessory than an item of clothing.

I must be going nuts because I know these things existed....Or did they? Grrrr...

Or this Trickling Capelet Trickling capelet!

JulesJules · 13/07/2014 08:52

Oops Trickling Capelet

DuchessFanny · 13/07/2014 08:53

The cape I mean is an accessory it only just covers the tops of your shoulders and ties round your neck ... Can't think where I last saw one though !!

JetJungle · 13/07/2014 08:53

I just like saying the words: Trickling capelet!

DeMaz · 13/07/2014 08:55

Thanks Jules. Not that either, although that's lovely.

These things are very short and just cover the shoulders. I'll be in a very hot country so can't have something long sleeved.

Feathered cape ? Doesn't sound as good as trickling capelet. (But then nothing does)

DuchessFanny · 13/07/2014 08:59

I'm sure we're thinking of the same accessory maz the last one I saw was lace and just sat on the shoulders but didn't go as far down as the arms ?

DuchessFanny · 13/07/2014 08:59

That's what I'm thinking of jules !

JulesJules · 13/07/2014 09:00

Angel cape ? (From the people who brought you trickling capelet)

DeMaz · 13/07/2014 09:02

Gorgeous cape, Jules. I would grab that if I knew I wouldn't boil alive in it.

Duchess, I think you're definitely onto something there... excited
