erm, is it just me or are all these dresses a little erm.... common (runs off to hide)

But whispers, sexy does not have to be tarty imo

nailpolish · 07/09/2006 13:28

how cana shift dress be tarty?????

like the warehouse black one

OP posts:
oxocube · 07/09/2006 13:36

Which shift dress? Didn't see that one, only the first ones! Anyway, I'm sitting my h&m tee-shirt and Primark 8 quid skirt so what do I know. Do know I wouldn't mind being 33 though! 40 feels sooo old

scoobytwo · 07/09/2006 13:55

nailpolish i love the 1st dress

lou33 · 07/09/2006 14:00

nailpolish · 07/09/2006 14:32

but for going to a club, lou?

OP posts:
lou33 · 07/09/2006 16:56

i'd wear that to a club over the short ones any day

AvaLou · 08/09/2006 16:01

So what have you decided on?
Please say not the asos one!?

nailpolish · 08/09/2006 16:03

actually yes i ordered it to try it on

i cna always send it back

i found a ncie one in next too

(or rather cod did)

purple one, right of centre

OP posts:
AvaLou · 08/09/2006 16:11

I like the colour but not the shape.

Like others have said a clubbing outfit doesn't have to = a tarty outfit.

nailpolish · 08/09/2006 16:14

jeez, its not that tarty

humph

OP posts:
nailpolish · 08/09/2006 16:15

it wont be that short on me

the model in the pic is probably 6'

i am 5'

OP posts:
leander · 08/09/2006 16:16

I like the next one,i would love to be able to get away with wearing it but being a 5'2" size 14 i never will.
Im sure you'll look lovely in it.

Mum2FunkyDude · 08/09/2006 16:18

I like it, although it does look like something Aishleeyne would wear.

lou33 · 08/09/2006 16:18

i am not quite sure what has happened, but i actually agree with cod on the purple dress, it's nice!

nailpolish · 08/09/2006 16:20

the next one is just as short though

but is it different cos its from next? they are such a sensible shop...................

if the asos one is unsuitable i shall get the one from next

OP posts:
AvaLou · 08/09/2006 16:29

Call me a frump but I think both are just cheap looking.
I do really like that print warehouse one though, I'd wear it with opaque tights and high heeled courts.

lou33 · 08/09/2006 16:34

it isnt about the length to me, blimey i wear 14 inch mini skirts!

i just prefer the look of it

and i hate next usually, i must be ill...

AvaLou · 08/09/2006 16:37

It's not the length, it's mini skirt length plus those flappy open sleeves plus cheap material which adds to a bad dress.

mousiemousie · 08/09/2006 16:49

Ultra short skirts liable to look tarty but not if you have slim legs and wear leggings underneath and flat shoes
