Just on way for leg and bikini wax and been thinking about how much I hate it - its still fairly painful even though I've been waxing for years and its a faff. I only do it coz the results are so much longer lasting than shaving. Will be glad when its done.

Also find the hairdresser a faff. I love the results but don't look forward to the process much - I have tons of hair so colour and cut takes 3 hours!

Never had one but don't think I could be bothered with a facial

What are your beauty bores?

Eyebrow plucking. It takes freaking ages to grab each tiny little hair and it makes me sneeze.

I get fed up of all the lotions and potions and I don't even wear makeup.
Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, shaving gel, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, facial moisturiser, body moisturiser , hand cream, anti perspirant, perfume, hair mousse - that's a lot before 7.30 in the morning.

I don't colour my hair (white and proud), use fake tan (also white and proud I guess!) or do my nails beyond keeping them neat and tidy. I still look reasonably well groomed - good hair cut, nice clothes but I have a mini rant to myself every morning about how much I hate the faff.

Nail painting, takes too long and I get impatient waiting for it to dry and then scuff it. I also struggle to apply it properly sometimes and then have to start again. Luckily I've discovered Opi and it stays on for at least 2 weeks before needing redone.

I quite like going to the hairdresser - I usually get my hair, hands and feet done all at once (ie three people working on me together), which makes me feel like a film star Blush.

I hate hair removal but find that my new Panasonic epilator that works in the bath is quicker and more painless than anything else I have found.

I hate dying my eyelashes but love the effect.

All of it. Every. Single. Poxy. Thing.

Washing, scrubbing, tweezing, epilating, putting stuff on, taking stuff off, cutting, dyeing.

I wear minimal make up, minimal haur-drying faff (and will dye it once more - big event coming up- then never again), no bidy creme, no nail varnish except toes, don't shave October-March unless wearing a fancy dresd for a Christmas party ir something.

DH doesn't: wear make up, wash his face at night, cover himself in cream, doesn't have to shave, I cut his hair in a number 4/5 once a month in the bathroom. And it is perfectly acceptable for him to leave the house and go tp work and be taken seriously with minimal effort.

I also cannot understand a 'lovely pampering spa weekend' it would bore me rigid and annoy me. Get off!

Yy to hating washing the face in the evenings!
Been there. It makes you cold and unconfortable :( when all you want is to snuggle in a warm bed.
BUT, if you do it with a cloth, it works beautifully!

Instead of flossing, if your teeth are too close together, you could perhaps use a teepee brush? I wouldn't thread floss tape, good lord, that's tedious!

I spent last Saturday morning making the dark hairs on my face lighter, and the grey light hairs on my head darker and all the while chuckling at the irony.

My heels are cracked and painful where I've picked them. I have a spotty face and bikini line from epilating. I hate constantly looking at the open pores on my face thinking I ought to do something with them.

Mostly I hate suncream though.

Having a colour done. Having a fully tine and full head of highlight plus cut and blow dry can easily take 3.5 hours, yawn Grin

ScrambledEggAndToast · 21/06/2014 08:51

*fully time. Should read full tint Grin
