So, this is what I have planned for a wedding later this year. What do you think? Does it all come together ok, is there anything you would change or suggest? Please be honest!

I think you look lovely but prefer the nude shoes :)

This is the belt tied in a bow

This is it round the waist. I'm not sure if this works, but I actually have a pink sash/ belt from another dress which I could replace this with if you think the idea of it going round the waist works (if that makes any sense at all)

That looks great Smile

SconeRhymesWithGone · 01/06/2014 21:39

Yes, the second one looks great.

Hi, I'm back again after having a wee think and play about with this.
1 - have found a way to tie belt round my waist which looks better.
2 - decided I would go with pink shoes or bag, not both. After trying a few combos, I took the ankle strap off the ivory shoes and now I like these best (also, they are the most comfy).
I haven't had a chance to look at alternative jackets or cardigans yet, so will stick with this one for now.

Looks fine

Jenda · 08/06/2014 14:20

That looks lovely! Much prefer the ribbon like that.
PS you are so brave doing this, people are so honest!

Plateofcrumbs · 08/06/2014 14:31

Gorgeous - I liked the original pic but the latest version is definitely improved, the belt around the waist really works. I like the shrug personally.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 08/06/2014 14:54

Ribbon around the waist looks best.

BritabroadinAsia · 08/06/2014 15:00

Yes to the ribbon around the waist, and the nude shoes - your final version gets my vote. You look great!

BritabroadinAsia · 08/06/2014 15:01

Doh - not the nude shoes at all... the ivory without the ankle strap - sorry!

MissisBee · 08/06/2014 15:01

Thanks Jenda it's been really fun and informative

I liked your first version, but this one is even better - it's more elegant. You look great.

polyhymnia · 08/06/2014 15:27

Lovely . Shoes and belt better than originals. Looks classier.

HappyGirlNow · 08/06/2014 15:44

Don't like the shrug - find them really frumpy.. Could you maybe get a little jacket?

Twinklestein · 08/06/2014 17:02

Personally I think the pink shoes work better - it's the style of them that's the problem - a little bit square. The nude shoes etc look bland and washed out.

I think the dress works well with the pink and green, but I'm sorry I really don't like the hat - it's a bit vintage TV series WI. And I'm not convinced by the cream cardi.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 08/06/2014 18:02

Nude shoes and ribbon around the waist. I am not a fan of hats or fascinators.

polyhymnia · 08/06/2014 18:04

I actually hate all hats personally but, as they go, I think it looks OK with the dress.

WitchWay · 08/06/2014 18:29

I like the final version very much

MissisBee · 08/06/2014 18:32

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate all the feedback. The hat is staying! provided it survives the plane journey. I do intend to have a look round at different jackets, there was one suggested further upthread that I like the look of. The shoes still seem to be splitting opinions. I might let comfort win over style on that one Smile
