Am on a quest to find light weight summer trousers that are NOT linen trousers and not chinos - cos I find them almost as hot as wearing jeans and I found these - they're so bloody comfy that I may be unable to think properly - can I wear these.... Please? ?

I think it's hard to wear a pattern if you are ample of arse and thigh.

Dorothy Perkins have some tapered viscose joggers that are quite flattering and comfortable. Maxis are a good choice too but quite often I don't want to wear a skirt, they bug me and restrict my activities, I quite often regret wearing them.

I have some from H&M which are very flattering and none of this going in at the ankle business.
These are they, I am size 12/14 and have them in a medium which is really generous.

Oh and my thighs and bum are very ample, normally I disguise them, but the cut and pattern really flatter.

I don't like them either sorry. I liked dexter's suggestions.

Look a bit like pyjamas I'd say no and I wear harems a lot

musicmaiden · 29/05/2014 13:23

Sorry, it's a no from me too - they look a bit cheap due to the pattern and I bet they are very shapeless at the back.

There are lots of nice patterned trousers around - I wouldn't go for the harems with the elasticated bottoms but something more tapered with a bit more of a structured bum.

I bought a couple of pairs of tapered printed trousers from M & S, they seem to be the only place that does long length, they are very nice and surprisingly flattering but I can't get away from the fact they look like pyjama bottoms as yours do. I imagine they will stay in the wardrobe until I return them in a about a month

They would probably be OK on a holiday, but I think if I went to the supermarket or down my local High street in them I would feel I hadn't got dressed properly. They look particularly pyjama-like with a T shirt.

So OK for holiday or in the house but that about it, unless you're very young.

I think they'd look fine if worn with heels and a plain black vest/cardi. Photo angle probably doesn't do them justice especially just focussing on one part of you!

Definitely ok for going on holiday and wearing indoors. Can't really tell the quality of them from the photo but if the sit well on you, I'd feel okay wearing them outdoors.

Tu at) Sainsburys do a similar shape 'soft feel' pale blue jeans (but not jeans type trouser which I think would be cool for Summer and they cater for all sizes.
