I've just ordered a chocolate brown suede pair.I think I'll look quite good in them

Twiglett · 31/08/2006 08:29

Malory

I keep thinking of that Erin Brokovich film

"That's all you got lady, two wrong feet in f'cking ugly shoes"

(I have in the last 2 days quoted an Arnie movie and a what's-her-name movie .. it feels like the burgeoning start of a game)

JonesTheSteam · 31/08/2006 08:47

Wow - they're expensive!!!!!!!!!

I'd pay that for a pair of leather boots. Maybe I'm a cheap skate, but think that's ridiculous for a pair of ballet pumps!!!!!

Twiglett · 31/08/2006 09:04

am pmsl at the thought of grown women wearing those monstrous things

yes cod .. sigh .. you were the only one .. but then you and I ... we're just on a higher plane aren't we

I quite like them but although I always wear flats these are a bit too flat I think. I do like the low front on them though.

GDG got a gorgeous leather pair from the K Village, they look really nice on.

iota · 31/08/2006 09:10

fab selection here

but not my thing - I am short of leg and wide of foot

MrsFio · 31/08/2006 09:11

some of them look nice i think and they def look comfy

CheesyFeet · 31/08/2006 09:12

I love them, I have two pairs. They probably look shit on me but I don't care as they fit (very difficult for shoes for me) and they are comfy. I wear them on days like today - too cold for flip flops and too early in the year for boots.

Pinkchampagne · 31/08/2006 09:16

I wear them for work because I am on my feet all day & they are comfy.

stephanieplum · 31/08/2006 09:22

Hopefully they are! I like them anyway.

Flamesparrow · 31/08/2006 09:44

I like my plain black ones... but just plain black.

Tortington · 31/08/2006 09:56

no. i can't wear heels its nice to be able to find comfortable shoes that dont come from clarks!

CurrantBun · 31/08/2006 10:44

They are far too flat for a 5'1" person. They make me feel short and stumpy. I HATE the 'ballet pumps and skinny jeans' look - even make really skinny girls look dumpy.

I prefer just a small heel to make my legs look just a tiny bit longer ... and so I don't have to shorten all my trousers to stop them dragging along the ground!

Can quite see they look elegant on the right foot/leg shape, but I am flat and wide of foot and chunky of ankle so for me a resounding No.

Do have a pair of the Rocketdog ones with the pingy elastic which look ok poking out from under jeans, but I have to wear arch supports with them as they're so flat. They make great driving shoes in the winter though - need to practise driving in my boots more .

Clarks have some nice ones with a little heel - I may partake of a pair

FourJays · 31/08/2006 15:37

Love em!
Got some metallic ones with square toe in Primark for £8! Cos I'm classy like that.

squigglesmum · 31/08/2006 16:04

Ballet flats are fabulous! I got a pair from Verbaudet this spring which actually have the ribbon ties, and I've never had so many compliments on anything else in my wardrobe, ever. Because of the ribbons, they don't fall off even when you're chasing a three-year-old at top speed, but they're still pretty.
But I am a size one.
