Just that really. Summer church wedding for D/B. Acting as witness and so have to walk past lots of people. Feel rather depressed [PND) and down about myself and the way I look so I want to feel lovely. Just for a day.

I'm winter colouring, the dress looks to be electric blue. In early 40's. 5'7, Size 10-12 probably more of a 12, wide shoulders and hips but go in at the waist. Have a 9 month old so stone heavier than I used to be and a horrible tummy. Bit worried that I may not be able to BF in it, but Dd will be a bit older by then anyway.

So, do you think it's suitable? Appropriate? Finding it really hard to get something that fits the bill. Probably won't wear a hat / fascinator. Am very indecisive and the whole thought of it is stressing me but I can't just not go Sad

You look lovely, like Robin Wright on House Of Cards Grin. I'm hoping to get a similar dress for my DBs wedding and I'm short and dumpy compared to you.

Go back and poke JL woman in the eye.

You look bloody fantastic woman, stop being so self critical! Smile
That dress is great. You could accessorise it in any which way and it would still be great. Personally I would be tempted to have a clutch which adds a pop of colour. But the main thing is YOU WILL LOOK FAB whatever.

You look wonderful! Your hips and shoulders look perfectly proportioned and your arms and legs look great. Lovely colour too. Enjoy your day, knowing you look brilliant!

I'm a 32GG at the moment due to breast feeding (measured at Bravissimo) - this bra is FABULOUS. No more sag!

I agree, the dress really suits you and your arms and legs look lovely (so does the rest of you).

Re bra shopping - you could try an independent shop. Likely to be pricy (I paid £70 Blush) but it's the most comfortable bra I've ever had on and the staff were lovely.

You look fab! What great legs!!!

I could never wear a dress like that (am a pear shaped short arse!)

Love it!

Gosh all of you really are lovely Blush. I can't remember the last time I had a compliment about clothes or the way I look.

I'm keeping the dress.

So, I've had time to properly trawl through the links that have been posted. I'm not sure I could do the first set of heels tethers. I have a bit of a walk to the church you see probably carrying dd, and associated crap for the other two. Though I do agree that heels may help with the feel of the dress. I like the peony and Moore clutch as it's the sort of thing I could probably use again. Anything I buy (apart from the dress) needs to have the potential to be worn again to justify the purchase!

As for the Sophie bra, I actually ordered that last month from figleaves but it wasn't a good fit on me for some reason. Think I might start a bra thread for some help in that area.

You look fantastic, def keep the dress. You have a great figure, hardly any tummy for 3 children (I have 4 so most def have a tummy now!!). The dress is very flattering with the ruching if you are a little self conscious - but you really have no need to be. How about trying some magic pants if you are worried, I have some shorts style ones - they really give me confidence that there are no wobbly bits on show!!

I love the colour too xxx

I would be tempted to wear silver jewellry, silver heels and clutch bag, and a jewelled clip in the hair. keep any necklace small and plain or just wear earrings bracelet and possibly a brooch instead of a necklace. have a great day. oh... if its cold a short cream fake fur jacket would look good.

You look lovely! Not big at all, you have a gorgeous figure. Get some good underwear to boost your confidence, but you have no need to worry.

You look amazing. Stunning.

Please go and talk to your GP about the PND. They can help you. A low dose of antidepressants could make all the difference, and they can send you for some CBT too, which helps loads. It's a bugger of a thing, like wading through grey soup, and you can't fix it on your own, or expect it to just go away.

It's me again. I need more help please, if I'm allowed...

Have been trying to work out accessories - shoes and clutch, possibly jewellery. I'm just not good at working out what goes together. Do I have to have shoes and bag to match? What could you put with this blue?

How about this pink for shoes?

or coral?

I like the tan clutch that tethers linked to. I have these boden downtown heels in tan which would probably go with the bag but not sure about the dress?

I'm not so good at accessorising so any other suggestions welcome. Mail order would be great as I had a very depressing day shopping today.

Thank you Smile
