Can I introduce the Triumph amourette 300. I'm wearing a 32C and it's the best fit I've found so far for my non-existent, low-volume, BF boobs. I think it's the vertical seam that does it. It's only downfall is that the band only fits on the tightest setting (so will only get saggier) - if it came in a 30D, it would be perfect.

Bra interventionists - what do you think, is it on your list? Can you recommend anything similar, or even better, in a 30D?

Not on my personal list as I am not in their size range. If it's vertical seams then what about the half cups from Freya or fauve, I think they are vertical seams?

Freya seemed to all have a horizontal seam when I looked. I haven't tried Fauve, I'll take a look!

I always recommend the Lepel Fiore range for small busts. It comes in a full cup (which is actually more of a balconette), a half cup and a plunge.

Can I just point out that a 'C' cup is not a 'small' bust?

Ummm, actually it is small. A 'C' means that there is a 3" difference between the under bust and over bust measurements. In truth, there is no such thing as a 'C' cup or an 'F' cup as cup sizes don't exist without an accompanying band size:

Thanks for both of those tips...I was ridiculously in a 34A for years (am size 6-8 but with a slightly broader back than that size would indicate). Got measured for a nursing bra and was put into a 32C which worked well size wise for me. A year after I've stopped breastfeeding and my boobs have deflated though, I'm still wearing a C cup and it fits 100 times better than any bloody A I've ever worn! Still bras are so hard to find. I've actually had the best luck with Debenhams own-brand 30C, believe it or not

Debenhams own brand bras are good value for money. The 'Gorgeous' range tends to run small but that's a minor quibble. You can often pick up a bra for less than £20 including free knickers!

New here, I just stumbled across this thread while googling for bra sizing advice - hope it's not too cheeky of me to wade in and ask for tips straight away!

I have lost a lot of weight recently. I got fitted for bras at the least-worst local shop, and then did some online shopping (nothing suitable in the shop). I have got a couple of 32Cs -this and this. Straps and band fit really well and are comfy, and the lower part of the cups seems OK. But there is a lot of spare fabric in the top half of the cups. Any thoughts about alternative sizes? or should I try a different style or brand?

I'd be really grateful for some help: I lost weight because of some mental health issues I've been having, not out of choice. And taken in combination with the nature of those issues, it's not left me feeling good about my body. I think getting some lovely, well-fitting bras would cheer me up a lot!

me too Basket. I'm only this size because I'm (still/just) breastfeeding. Pre-baby I thought I was a 32A/34AA (and then the cups were baggy on me) until I read the bra intervention threads. It's been a revelation!

Basket and PickledLily I am in agreeance. 32A and then just had a sickness bug and that's even hanging off me now. If I ever got a boob job I would probably only go up to a C.. not that I would, but in my world a C is big!
My sister is an 'I' cup - what went wrong there I wonder?

Yes, C is massiiivooo in my books too. But I only fit certain C styles, not the moulded cup bras though, which is what the majority of high street lingerie seems to be. I think I'm only a C because I'm 'broad-boobed' (is that a word?)

I am a D/DD cup and still look like I have relatively small boobs.It;s the relation between the band size and the rest of your frame, I think. I have broad shoulders and am tall with long arms and legs. DD on me is in (smallish) proportion and i still consider myself to be not well endowed.

Since Sorrell and Statistically intervened me, I wear a 30ff, and I still mostly look like I have small boobs (again, tall and broad, wear a size 10 atm).

When fitted properly the vast majority of women are bigger than a c cup. However it's also relative to band size.

I think in the thousands we've refitted we have had literally under 10 genuine A cups. Most people who had been fitted at an a by the likes of marks and Spencer turn out to be 2-3 band sizes smaller, and in the d-ff cup range depending on just how poorly they've been measured.

I didn't really think about the 'wide-boobed' among us. I'm 5'2 and size 6 so didn't occur to me. Size 10 isn't what I'd call broad, though I suppose it depends on your body shape. I did try those '2 sizes bigger' bras from Asda in a moment of madness but they looked ridiculous.

I got my current bras (moulded cup) from M&S 2 for £3 in the sale. They're comfy but not at all flattering so was intrigued by this thread. Think I'm going to have to pay a little more for my next ones.

StatisticallyChallenged - sorry, I realise I'm late to the party here, but how exactly does that work? I was measured by M&S and then La Senza and one said A, the other AA. Where should I go to be measured instead?

Thanks for the links to those bras. I am finding it difficult to find a nice range a 30C as many ranges don't do a 30 back size.

I used to think a C cup was big too until I got measured properly and found out that I was in fact a 30C. I was wearing a 34AA before that and didn't even half fill the cup, but M&S (surprise, surprise!) said that a 34AA, even though I didn't anywhere near fill the cups and the band was sliding upwards towards my neck, was definitely the best fit I would get!

The cups of my 30C bras are actually smaller than the cup of the AAs. shallower, if that makes sense. I am almost completely flat chested, but I fill a 30C, not a 34AA.
