What do you take your makeup off with?

I have been using makeup wipes, but they give you wrinkles, apparently, so I need something else.

I've tried OCM in the past, but need something that can be used daily.

Can't be: Expensive, strong smelling, contain alcohol, be difficult to find.

Any suggestions?

Or even coconut oil!

What is wrong with wipes?! I have been using them for ages and find that they're really good at getting all make up off. I use the simple ones. Am I going to be haggard?

Wipes make my skin sting, far too harsh, have tried several types including Simple. Nothing wrong with them if they suit you though.

I have a question...
If wipes give you wrinkles by dragging the skin, do flannels, muslins and other hot cloths do the same? If not, why not?

I just use a little face wash and a flannel when I'm in the bath.

bioderma miscellar water, I find it v good. If its a heavy day I follow up with cetaphil, which is lovely and gentle but didn't take make up off on its own

Botanics cleansing balm (was using Eve Lom which was much better but ÂŁÂŁ) and then No7 cleanser or micellar water to finish. I can't just use one on its own -- still feel grimy afterwards.

Soap and a flannel

Another one for Ultrabland. I get very dry skin round my eyes and it is the only thing gentle enough that actually removes mascara and eyeliner.

Superdrug hot cloth cleanser, gets it all off

Never use oil near your eyes, my optician told me off as it leaves a residual film, or at least it was detected in my eyes.

Eve Lom on my face, or Liz Earle, but I do admit to a wipe now and then when I'm really tired or go away, as I figure that's better than nothing.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - highly recommended!

Simple cleansing lotion, gets my waterproof mascara off, doesn't irritate my skin and costs pennies.

Wipes literally left my skin raw....I wouldn't use them again...ever!

I make up a scrub using whatever moisturiser I've got plus baking powder or similar.

I use Vaseline to remove eye make up. And Nivea soft to remove face make up. Both removed with cotton wool pads. Then I splash with ice cold water, pat with a clean towel and moisturise with LancĂ´me.

I use body shop eye make-up remover for waterproof mascara & vegetable oil; grapeseed or sunflower for rest of fizog. Massage in a teaspoonful & then remove with a flannel wrung out in hottish water. Skin is much softer & clear, it's as cheap as chips and you can add a drop or two of essential oil to the bottle if you want.

Was using a superdrug hot polish cleanser, but skin seemed to be getting congested and this has done the trick. More expensive than I would normally use, but bought it in a massively reduced set from m& s after Christmas.

I first remove eye makeup with babyoil on a cotton pad, then I smear my face with whatever cleanser i have on the go that S&B have usually recommended Smile wipe it off with toilet paper then I use a face wash and wipe off with a hot flannel. then comes a complicated routine of whatever serum / toner / oil / magic cure / miracle cream that I have bought into that week .... suprisingly my skin looks pretty nice for my age !
