I'm currently doing slimming world to lose the baby post natal cake weight. I've got about 4stone to lose & want to have a little treat for every 7lb I loose. I've got a ridiculous amount of boots points - what should I get? I've got a massive boots superstore near me with all the fancy brands in it.
I've got dark hair & eyes, pale skin with a sallow tone & a 6 month old so not a huge amount of time. Skins a bit rubbish unless I use specific things so don't want to meddle with that to much. Make up, hair, nail, body suggestions all welcome.
I've lost 9lb already so I'm due a treat! Help.

I'd buy one of their gift experience spa days or a night away somewhere. Wish I had £100 of points!

Shenanagins · 08/03/2014 20:42

I would get Lancôme face self tanning gel as it helps me look less tired.

bewleysisters · 08/03/2014 21:37

Babyliss Curl Secret. £££ but soooo worth it to effortlessly create waves/curls. No skill required and quick. Wasn't sure prior to purchase but both sales assistants who served me said they wouldn't be without one. I now know what they mean.

EugenesAxe · 08/03/2014 22:39

I would buy nice moisturiser. I like Estée Lauder myself; you could get mega-wrinkly formula (even if not) or the one down, which is cheaper. It would probably be as good on young skin TBH.

Flangeofmingetown · 09/03/2014 06:50

No7 stay perfect lipstick in Love Red. This is a fabulous true red that stays put without feathering. I think it will be stunning with your colouring.

No7 nail varnish in Devil's Delight. Use a top coat as it doesn't have great staying power but it is a really great colour.

isisisis · 09/03/2014 07:38

Young skin? eugenes I'm 33 with the skin if a 15year old boy! really need to get involved in some anti ageing skin care before I go from teenage to OAP, bypassing the middle.
Yes yes to the Lancôme concealer & face tanner, anything to look less tired!
Will check out the colours you suggested flange (great name by the way)
How easy is the babyliss curl secret bewely? I've got a wand but am useless with it. I'm trying to grow my hair a bit so a new style without having it cut is appealing. Thanks again for all the suggestions. I can feel I'm going to blow all these points in one go, so much for 1 thing per 1/2 stone!

some posh shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask. a lovely spa sounding face mask, some argan oil, a body butter, and lots of smelly lush bubbly bath... bliss.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 09/03/2014 11:47

oh and makeup. seventeen superlash mascara some eyelash curlers and new tweezers too.

Wuxiapian · 09/03/2014 11:48

I'd go for either perfume or I'd stock up on some nice body lotions. Or both.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 09/03/2014 11:48

and again... the curl secret is awesome, the easiest tool I have ever used. look for the demo on you tube it really is that easy.

Have you been shopping isis ? What did you get?

I bought my firse Essi nail varnish - 'Jamaica me crazy' I love it and even wrestled myself out of my winter tights to do my toes!

isisisis · 09/03/2014 20:30

No, but I have made a Pinterest board of all your suggestions so I can look at it & be inspired (DH thinks I'm a loser). I'm going to go at some point this week, think I'm going to check out the Dior lip balm first. What kind of colour is 'Jamaica me crazy' ? It sounds very summery.

I love your dedication my dp thinks I'm weird too

It's pink - and a bit shimmery - like raspberry sorbet!

bewleysisters · 09/03/2014 23:16

Isisis - it really is super easy. I'm hopeless with any hair styling. I watched the video on You Tube before purchase. The day I took the plunge and purchased I had a rare night out planned but hardly any time to get ready. Took a risk, got it out of the box and plugged in, and ten minutes of use and I was done! Shoulder length fine limp hair was transformed into soft curls which lasted for another couple of days (dropping a bit to gentle waves on following days, but still lots of body). Real game changer if you have fine hair. Memorable way to use a big chunk of points and you'll still be using at the end of your journey and beyond!

hollyisalovelyname · 10/03/2014 00:05

India Knight is raving about an ionic hairbrush in the Sunday Times today, that is supposed to do wonders for your hair. Probably available in Boots

HappyAsEyeAm · 10/03/2014 09:53

You asked about Champneys. I use their bubble bath. I rarely have baths, and so I always use posh bubbles whenever I have one. I think its really good. Very soft and silky feelong bubbles and the scents are lovely. I have used the yellowy one and the dark pink one. Both are gorgeous. They often do 3 for 2 on that range.

What about a very, very good quality hairbrush?

I am watching this thread as I have about 120 worth of points to spend at Boots too. I usualy save them for Christmas shopping, but I am going to spend them on myself this time.

I can also recommend the YSL Touche Eclat foundation. It is similar to Chanel Aqualumiere, but cheaper (I think). Very light and dewy. Great for this time of year and going into summer.

And I love Estee Lauder products - I have been using them for years and I'm 38. No point me recommending though, as I don't know your skin type.

HelloBoys · 10/03/2014 10:32

Happy I agree with you re the Champneys bubble bath - it is very luxurious but better on 3 4 2 deals.

How about a Tangle Teezer too?

isisisis · 10/03/2014 16:38

Yes, happy spend them on yourself!
Well, my trip didn't go as well as planned. I'd decided to go for the Dior lipbalm & was stupidly excited about having something fancy for me. Went into town, me & DD looking reasonably presentable & got bloody ignored by the Dior woman, snotty cow. She was talking to someone when I arrived so I started having a look at a few things, trying them on my hand etc. Then I turned around & she'd bogged off. I've never had that from a counter before! I felt like Julia Roberts in pretty woman.
Anyway, so I abandoned Dior & got some of the pink champnays on 3for 2 (scrub, body butter & bath) & the boots breastfeeding/postnatal vitamins on 3 for 2. But I didn't spend any of my points whoops . I had a voucher for double points all month (as it's my birthday) & another for 400 points when you spend £30, so I used them & now have even more points for you all to help me spend!
