OP posts:
PiccadillyCircus · 10/08/2006 12:38

I definitely don't .

TutterOtsky · 10/08/2006 12:39

lol at gin

maybe £500. is that bad?

CountessDracula · 10/08/2006 12:41

yes I prob spend £500 on average I should think

eg this year

2 pairs of boots £110 (one £100, one in sale £10)
2 pairs wedgey sandals £100 total
1 pair trainers £80ish
1 pair birkies £40

I think that is it so far so that's only £330

Still a while to go though...

OP posts:
alicemama · 10/08/2006 12:42

no vodka!!!

Bozza · 10/08/2006 12:44

Definitely no. Since this time last year:

Boots - £30
Heeled shoes - £20
Ballet pumps - £15
Slippers - £10 (present)
Peep toe heels - £25 (present)
Flip flops - £12 (present)
Wedge espadrilles - £20
Footbed mules - £7
Slippers - £3

So a grand total of £142. Although probably forgotten something so round it up to an absolute max of £200.

What a cheapskate am I?

Bozza · 10/08/2006 12:44

Ah yes forgotten - pair of Dunlops - £25

NotActuallyAMum · 10/08/2006 12:47

Doubt I've spent that much in my life never mind in one year, the most I've ever paid is £25 - and I thought twice about that

Quootiepie · 10/08/2006 12:50

My word! I buy maybe... a couple of pairs a year! Being full time mum doesn leave any time for going out apart from shops, so I kinda live in sandles and flip flops anyway ATM. Blimey.

TutterOtsky · 10/08/2006 12:51

but, qp, being afull time mum is exactly why i hve to go out sometimes

nutcracker · 10/08/2006 12:52

I definatly don't.

Have probably spent about £50 on shoes so far and will probably spend another £50 on shoes for winter.

Quootiepie · 10/08/2006 12:53

gawd, where do you find the time? I had my 1st drink out the other day... DS is 4 1/2 months! and he was sat on my lap, so does that count?

MrsBadger · 10/08/2006 12:59

oh dear, this was an expensive year, but to be fair I have had a complete wardrobe overhaul in that time... in the last calendar year I bought...

wetsuit-type shoes on holiday £5
long black boots £60
brown boots £25
cream trainers with sparkly bits £15
party sandals £20
suede wedges for work £40
bridesmaid shoes £35

totalling £180
and I think that's probably the most shoes I've ever bought in a year ever.

But I suppose if I'd bought all the everyday shoes from (eg) Hobbs, Boden or LK Bennett - the long boots would be £200 and everything else about £100 a pop, and if I'd gone to Gina or Jimmy Choo for party sandals instead of Clark's sale that'd easily make it up to £1000.

What? I'm ashamed to say I don't spend that much on my entire wardrobe in a year...probably not in 2 years. Couldn't afford to but probably wouldn't if I could. I have big feet so I don't enjoy shoes or shopping for them. Also being v tall I don't tend to wear heels.

Having said that I am going to make a big effort with work shoes now having walked into work in my comfy sandals yesterday which then proceeded to fall apart as I was leaving a meeting.

Still at 1k for shoes....

joelallie · 10/08/2006 13:16

Actually sod it! Having read all the other messages I am going to buy myself some shoes on the way home today!

KeepingQuiet · 10/08/2006 13:18

I don't anymore but when working I might have spent 750 I guess - ekkk

zippitippitoes · 10/08/2006 13:23

I haven't bought any shoes this year!

The last pair i bought were from M&S to wear to a funeral last September..I think they were about 30.00

I don't spend anything like that on clothes either..even if i had the money i wouldn't spend it on shoes where do people keep them and how excrucuatingly boring to spend all that time shopping and in the most horrible of shops shoe shops!

Iklboo · 10/08/2006 13:26

Hello...my name is iklboo and i (gulp)

HATE SHOES!!!

I ahte having to wear them. If I could go through life without having to wear them I would. The first thing I do as soon as I get home is take off my shoes.
Last pair I bought were some "going back to work after maternity leave" shoes - and I only spen a tenner!

Fimbo · 10/08/2006 13:27
