This is a picture of me and my hair!

Excuse the crap picture of my miserable face, I loath having my photo taken but needs must! There is one of my hair up for face shape and one down.

I need to do something with my mop, I have booked a hairdresser but if I don't ask you lot first I'll go and get an inverted bob then grow it straight out because I don't like it much.

Things to consider;

The expanse of forehead that I have
I don't have oodles of time to 'fix' it every morning
It's thick, way thicker than it looks, thick enough to make hairdressers charge me extra Hmm

So, what do you suggest I go for? Currently it gets slung up in a messy bun with a few strands down my face to hide mount forehead but that's getting old now.

Go for something like the Alexa or Lily pics posted above - they're both more fresh, updated layered versions of the picture you really like.

(Another who loves your NN!)

Will a very slight side part work? I part mine literally a centimetre off-centre, but it makes a huge difference. Like you, mine doesn't like to part at the side, but it will cope with a teeny side part. I sometimes use a snappy slide thing to keep in the place when it's being really stubborn.

LaTrucha · 11/02/2014 09:54

Love that Marie Claire thing! Thanks.

Have a go OP. It is really obvious really quickly what suits you, which for me is shoulder length, loose, side parting, long layers. Very boringly, that is what I have already so top marks to my hairdresser. I guess I'll have to accept what I have is as good as it is going to get.

I cant decide for you between the blunt fringe and the long layers but I reckon it will sort it out for you.

Off to do the eyesahdow thing now....

TitsalinaBumSquash · 11/02/2014 15:50

I took loads of pictures with me and come out with a fringe that I love! Especially when up. :)

I haven't taken a down picture yet because I walked straight from the hairdressers into torrential rain and gale force winds so it went a bit nuts, but here is my fringe! :) thanks brain for all the help and advice. You guys rock!

The fringe looks great. Can't wait to see the rest.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 11/02/2014 17:16

It's always been this colour Smile I won't change that, I like the cut though, it really pleased which almost ever happens when I leave the salon. Smile

Love the fringe! Proper fringe envy going on here (they always look awful on me!)
You look fringe-fab :)

BigArea · 11/02/2014 17:55

Ace! And have you got new glasses too or do they just look more glam with the fringe? You look fab Smile

TitsalinaBumSquash · 11/02/2014 18:03

No new glasses yet. I'm working on that for my next to-do. Smile

They look completely different on you with the fringe IMO

Wow! That really, really suits you. Fab choice!

scarletforya · 11/02/2014 21:06

Lovely and gorgeous color!

MrsLettuce · 11/02/2014 21:10

(the method here is The Way, IMHO. Decent normal brush does a reasonable job BTW. Don't think product is a must either, TBH)

petitdonkey · 11/02/2014 21:12

You look lovely - the fringe is great. I only read this blog post on blow-drying fringes the other day. I watched the video and it made me want to get one!!

Thumbwitch · 11/02/2014 21:12

Love the fringe, can't wait to see the rest :)

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 11/02/2014 21:55

Aww Titsalina! You look beautiful!

Right. That's me. Next haircut, fringe and some layers, a la Squoosh's pic.

Eastpoint · 11/02/2014 22:27

Great choice, you look beautiful

MillyBlodyn · 12/02/2014 00:02

Wow.....it looks great. Knew a full fringe would suit you. I have always had one and love it. Smile
