Why do people buy dresses that they have no clue how to wear

Bloody "accessorise this dress for me"
In the shop are you blindfolded ? Is it lucky dip?

Got out of bed the wrong side this morning, then?

SavoyCabbage · 27/01/2014 07:20

Surely you could say that about anything though.

Why don't people just phone primary school admissions? Or google for a Boden code.

lougle · 27/01/2014 07:21

Perhaps people aren't confident in their style and are looking to improve it??

DrNick · 27/01/2014 07:22

Savoy. Yes

Buy a dress you love, take it home, nothing you have at home works with it....post S&B desperately trying to keep item you know you really should leave back!

DrNick · 27/01/2014 07:24

You got it. If you but in store you should think "yup I have shoes that go etc"

HerGraciousMajTheBeardedPotato · 27/01/2014 07:28

Because not everybody has an eye for colour and style/understands admission code language/is confident using a computer.

We're not all the same and we don't all have the same strengths. Or tolerance.

Ooh dr nick, meow! Maybe just hide the thread?

Or is this a ruse, are you in need of shoes? Nude. Go for nude ones.

SavoyCabbage · 27/01/2014 07:32

It's a talk forum though. It would be a pretty quiet place if people only asked about things they could sort out themselves.

MikeLitoris · 27/01/2014 07:34

Yes, what is it with these people having discussions with each other?

The thing I find most annoying though is those poster who try too hard to be controversial. Makes me cringe.

really1234 · 27/01/2014 07:37

I haven't posted that question but could have done. Some of us have absolutely no sense of natural style. And when we go out some people are very judgemental, so the person is trying to look good and asking for advice to help. Isn't that what the board is for??

DrNick · 27/01/2014 07:38

Lol. I hate nude shoes. Like Pippa doll feet

OP posts:
dexter73 · 27/01/2014 07:39

Just think DrNick, the wedding season will soon be upon us and there will be 80 billion threads on 'what shall I wear' and 'How to accessorise this dress' and the best - 'Do you like this fascinator?'

DrNick · 27/01/2014 07:41

Dexter Angry ;)

OP posts:
DrNick · 27/01/2014 07:42

Or "I need a dress. Don't like colour black legs my upper arms or my flabby tum"

OP posts:
MyNameIsKenAdams · 27/01/2014 07:43

Just hide S&B

southeastastra · 27/01/2014 07:44

I think as women we're made to have little confidence in our looks or decision-making skills.

LittleBabyPigsus · 27/01/2014 07:48

(I do hate hate hate nude shoes though, and 99% of fascinators)

DrNick · 27/01/2014 08:06

My brother gave her inhales nipples

OP posts:
Trills · 27/01/2014 08:20

Your brother inhales nipples?

I think that's another thread entirely.

Bexicles · 27/01/2014 08:26

Why post answers on the thread and then start another passive aggressive thread about it? Very odd!

PlumSykes · 27/01/2014 11:05

LOL.

Help me find a dress and shoes for a wedding, overall budget £20, am very fussy.

HelloBoys · 27/01/2014 12:23

why do people pay personal stylists etc?

I've had various people on net when I wanted to accessorize say a navy dress come up with orange, purple etc shoes etc.

combos I would NEVER have thought of IRL. Also I can err on the safe side of fashion so anything a bit more out there I can be a bit nervous of how to wear.

now I haz a new dress DrNick - please help ME!
