Does this bra exist?

I'm looking for a bra that is non-wired, has the comfort of a sports bra, is glamorous, and black ( or easily matchable). Nork size: 36B.

Does it exist?

Hmmm, doubtful to be honest. Most unwired bras are distinctly unglamorous as they never really fit properly (it's almost impossible to get the gore to lie flat)

First things first (and I hope I won't offend you by asking), are you absolutely certain that a 36B is the right size? If you are unsure, measure following this guide.

A properly fitting bra will be very comfortable indeed.

I always wear unwired bras (breast reduction - wires irritate a bit). This type of bra is like rocking horse poo!! I can do all of that without the glamorous bit!!

Oh and the gore lies dead flat against my chest!

Only starts at a 34 though. Good old M & S again!!

Sorry, I don't think that bra is giving any lift or shape. It doesn't fit the model either but that's M&S for you!

Calvin Klein have some non underwired bras with pretty cups.

Thanks all. At the moment I'm wearing my only tolerable one -a sports bra from Peacocks-which makes my chest look like a pillow-but at least the straps don't drop.

Not sure about the prospect of pulling out my saggy norks out, but if that what it takes, so be it.

What dress size are you out of interest

I'm a 12, statistically. I used to be a 10 long ago, and wearing a 34b. I convince myself I'm still that size. I know I'm not really. I can get away with vests with shelves in, or even nothing at all, sometimes. With bras, the main irritation for me is straps dropping.

I'm in denial about needing a bigger bra, so I buy cheap ones I know are not my size, and then complain about them not fitting. Hence the sports bra, which is stretchy.

I've just bought a cheap non-wired bra in Tesco for 4 quid. It's 36b. Haven't tried it on yet, though.

I got a black non wired one from John Lewis for early pregnancy. Plain with a little bit of lace around the bottom of the cups. I found that the non wired range was so much nicer there than m and s. You are almost certainly not a 36 at a size 12. In reality you weren't a 34 either. You are probably a 30 or 32 at most.

Please don't keep that 36 b. It'll do nothing for you or how you feel. You've done the classic of going up in the back which you almost certainly didn't need to do.

Straps dropping. ..missed that. If your straps fall down the band is too big.

Please measure yourself OP, I bet you aren't a 36. I'm a 34 or 36 and I'm a size 16!

fedupand50, I've been wearing 34B knowing it didnt fit right anymore (I know realise it probably never did) and contemplating moing up to 36B. Thanks to what I've read here about measuring for bras, I've just bought the most comfortable bra ever. Its 32D! Depending on the brand and style, a 30DD was also a good fit. I'm stunned. It never dawned on me that I might need a bigger cup. I'm not what you'd call well endowed. I'm a 10/12 in clothes. I suspect you are around the same size as me.

Inspired by all these threads (and my discomfort) I went to Leia on Friday and got properly measured. I went from the 36E M&S sold me to 30G. The difference is unbelievable and I look like I've lost lbs.

Pardon my stupidity, but does the length of the band equate to the size ie if you measure 34 inches under your boobs, you are a 34?

And how do you account for the stretchiness of the band?

The unstretched band won't measure 34 so the stretch is build in. So eg I measure 30, wear a 30 but if I measured the band on my bra without stretching it would measure less-mine tend to be around 27.

Thanks. I now have on the unwired bra I bought gjis morning. It's 36b, the size I thought I was. It's ok round the back and is in middle(ie not riding up).

However it is not right otherwise. I can put my hand in the space between my boobs as the band is not lying flat. My boobs are fully encased by the fabric but still rolling over the band .

Generally quite uncomfortable.

Have you measured yet? What about Something likethis?

Exchange it for a 32? and see what happens.
