I am hoping the cardigan I want is going in the sale. I could buy it now, but knowing my luck the sale will start in the next half hour. Answers on a postcard please..........

Er, I spent £237.50. Do I win?

Some will go back though, I'm sure!

Sorry Gobbledigook, you don't win

Piffle · 07/07/2006 08:45

also if it appears out of stock on the website RING! There were 4 things that appeared OOS when i checked the site, I rung as two things I wanted for dd were not online.
They had stock of all the OOS things I wanted
I spent £150 thereabouts, mostly on dd but I scored some ballet pumps and a gorgeous yellow linen skirt

Gillian76 · 07/07/2006 08:48

NO shoes available online!

Piffle · 07/07/2006 08:50

I got shoes?

Gillian76 · 07/07/2006 08:54

Gillian76 · 07/07/2006 08:54

it says nothing available now...

Gillian76 · 07/07/2006 08:55

Or maybe just in my size?

willow2 · 07/07/2006 10:04

Typical, the one night I fall asleep in front of the tv the sale starts - plus had had an email implying it was starting at 10 this morning. Really pissed off.

NomDePlume · 07/07/2006 10:13

OOOOOOOOOH PUFF the slouchy bag is in !!! I've already bagged me a green one....

MrsJohnCusack · 07/07/2006 10:15

the email about starting at 10 was about the actual shop by Hangar Lane
agree it wasn't massively clear though

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 10:16

I spent £160:
bikini for me
decorative pin cardigan
knitted tie front cardigan

for ds:
jeans
t shirt
overhead shirt
board shorts

for dd:
vintage pinafore
nightie cropped baggies

didn't get bag (not reduced enough) or jacket as sold out. No t shirts for dd either.
would have spent more on me if I wasn't pg.

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 10:17

still haven't had e-mail telling me the sale has started...

puff · 07/07/2006 10:20

I tried on a load of stuff in the shop, made a list in the changing room and ordere this morning. Would rather pay the postage than fight the rugby scrum in the shop.

florenceuk · 07/07/2006 10:22

Can't believe you lot all stayed up till 11pm! I still managed to get a few things, but no stripey t-shirt

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 10:42

oh dear. Have just spent another £50 on things I missed in my getting to school hurry this morning. Saw nice winter nightie for dd and shaggy fleece for ds amongst other things.

NomDePlume · 07/07/2006 10:44

I spent £71.50 (inc postage), on a slouchy bag and an everyday v-neck. Not much else took my fancy, tbh (changed my mind about the stripy cardi)

lucykate · 07/07/2006 10:55

i went on last night, glad i did as managed to get dh a pair of the pj type pull ons before they sold out. there are only the hawian print ones left and they're not really his kind of thing

hopefully, they'll arrive next week to our new address (move on monday).

Gobbledigook · 07/07/2006 11:23

I never get an email about the sale and I spend a fortune on Boden stuff every season

Gobbledigook · 07/07/2006 11:37

am I going to look a nonce in this?

Could do with a waterproof jacket for autumn/winter school runs. Only have fuschia left but actually, it's nicer than the usual black/navy/brown, no?

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 11:40

Ibought a paler pink raincoat from them a few years ago and whilst Ilike it's colourfulness I sometimes feel like I'm dressed like a 6 year old.
Maybe the fuschia will look better though...

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 11:42

I prefer the colours in their new range tbh
here

Gobbledigook · 07/07/2006 11:49

Hmmm, I'm not sure I feel strongly that the new colours are better - they are £89 too as opposed to £35!!

I know what you mean about the colour being a bit girly, but I quite like that and I usually go for brown and black coats so I think the fuschia might look nice on a grey day! Have ordered it anyway and will see what it's like!

Otherwise I'll be looking for a full price one in the autumn!

JackieNo · 07/07/2006 11:51

I've got a fuchsia pink waterproof coat (not as nice as the Boden ones) and I feel like a bit of a pillock in it. My mum and MIL keep telling me how nice it is, too, which is the kiss of death really (I'm 40 going on 14).
