When you are just doing stuff at home and want to be comfy?

When I get in and know I am ot going out again, I take off my bra and in the summer put on cotton short pyjamas and in winter I put on a onesie.

I have lightweight onesies for inbetween seasons. Yes, I look hideous but they are so comfortable to wear. I live with just my daughter though. If I had a partner again I would not wear a onesie in front of him!

jetstar · 12/09/2013 08:42

Sunday Grin

Would you wear your onesie out of the house? Into the garden or to put the bins out?

Jeans and a t shirt. After a bath, of pj bottoms and a vest top with a built in support for my boobs, and a very soft cardigan. I have a poncho thing as well, if its a bit nippy, but it all matches:)

Kezztrel · 12/09/2013 08:49

Old boyfriend jeans and tshirt, or denim shorts in summer, or black jersey harems and a tshirt. DH calls them 'fat pants'...

Hawkinzy · 12/09/2013 08:53

Blokes joggers (comfiest things ever!) or pj bottoms, and a tshirt. Plus a hoody too if it's a bit nippy. Despise wearing jeans in the house - just makes me feel so uncomfortable!

SundaySimmons · 12/09/2013 08:55

Jetstar, no one but my daughter, the cat, the guinea pigs see me in my onesies!

Not even the postman or any couriers. If the door goes, my daughter has to answer the door! Ha

jetstar · 12/09/2013 08:56

Grin @ fatpants!

I just wear my normal clothes as they are all comfortable, so jeans, trousers, skirt, dress. I don't buy uncomfortable clothes!

xuntitledx · 12/09/2013 09:23

Sports bra and jammies!

Hate wearing 'outdoor' clothes in the house, not comfortable enough to snuggle in...

chelsbells · 12/09/2013 09:28

Without fail once I get in I wear pj bottoms, vest top and my 'snuggle jumper' (from Next - it's actual name is that!) and slippers... Same for hanging washing outside, only have three neighbours so doesn't bother me. Never wear them past the front door however to the shops, that involves getting actual dressed!

Sleepwhenidie · 12/09/2013 09:38

If it's daytime and I'm likely to be seen by people other than family, I wear these leggings because they are so soft and comfy, with a soft sweater or vest and long cashmere cardigan. If its evening then I would swap leggings for pj bottoms in silk or brushed cotton. Snuggly slippers when it's chilly!

I don't really buy uncomfy clothes either but the stuff I wear out I prefer to look after and avoid getting too crumpled or dirty, its often dry clean or at the least hand wash only, added to which I'm clumsy and have 3 young DC's so food spillage is a frequent occurrence!

QueenCadbury · 12/09/2013 09:43

I wear Nike trousers and in winter a north face fleece. It's comfy but I'd feel fine going to the local shop for milk wearing it. Usually in the evenings I'm in my pjs. Like sleep I have 3 dc so prefer to avoid getting clothes dirty by them.

grew · 12/09/2013 09:56

I wear tracksuit bottoms and a t shirt but would love to wear something which was both comfortable and attractive. Those leggings look nice but expensive.

SundaySimmons · 12/09/2013 10:30

Peeping Toms all over the UK are crying into their binoculars at the thought of all of us sexy ladies at home! Ha ha

Sleepwhenidie · 12/09/2013 10:33

They are expensive, I admit (though I managed to pick up a grey marl pair in the sale for £28) - but they get worn a lot, don't go baggy, they are the only leggings I would wear out for errands - bum coverage makes all the difference Grin and I really enjoy wearing them, so for me, worth it Smile. I think Allsaints also do leggings without the skirt bit but in same fabric that will be cheaper...

jetstar · 12/09/2013 11:06

I like those leggings sleepwhenidie but they don't seem to do a size 16... Hmm
I usually wear similar things to what people have posted but I worry that my DH sees me looking less than attractive at home a lot of the time and wondered if there was anything I could do to make myself feel a bit happier about it.

I've got those leggings sleepwhenidie, agree they're lovely! I bought them for Pilates etc but have ended up wearing them more round the house cos I don't want to put them on for only an hour to do a class then have to wash them!

Kezztrel · 12/09/2013 11:16

jetstar does your DH make a special effort to look nice round the house? If not, don't worry about it Grin

jetstar · 12/09/2013 11:17

I suppose not Kezztrel but I'd like to look better!!

OP posts:
Kezztrel · 12/09/2013 11:25

Fair enough Grin What about investing in a snuggly jumper dress that you can wear with tights or leggings? They're just as comfy as pjs/trackies but look a bit more chic. Something like this.

Kezztrel · 12/09/2013 11:27

More snuggly

Dramamama · 12/09/2013 11:38

Jetstar I also am a size 16 and love those leggings but I think if I told dh I had spent £40 on leggings he would kill me! I have a solution I buy normal black leggings (primary, tescos etc..) and pop one of these over them m.hm.com/gb/product/13764?article=13764-A voila!

Dramamama · 12/09/2013 11:39

Oh stupid link hang on...

Nope it's really not working at all, it's a jersey stretch sort of mini skirt £3.99 from h&m x
