So you wont like my DHs 'Lighten up hippie, tanks are cool' t-shirt then?

MaryP0p1 · 02/06/2006 14:25

I have to say that people who get upset about D&G really do need to get a sense of humour. Its exactly the same type of humour as Ricky Gervais etc, highlighting the stupidity of how some people actually think. Okay so its direct but .....

nailpolish · 02/06/2006 14:27

ricky gervais is completely unfunny

i think people who wear slogan t shirts are very attention seeking

LOOK AT ME! READ MY CHEST!

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:32

personally I don't really like slogan stuff and would never put my dt's in them. The only stuff I do like is the junk food stuff just because its more 'vintage looking' I wouldn't wear anything that said something like 'hey boys look at my tits' written across the chest!

nailpolish · 02/06/2006 14:33

dh's dad buys little presents for the girls

t shirts with "princess in the making"

"girls rule"

even they make me feel uneasy

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:33

i totally agree btw that Ricky Gervais is not even in the slightest funny..give me Del Boy anyday!

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:34

The worst slogan ones are for boys! I'm a monster.. I love dirt (what a pile of crap!)

madmarchhare · 02/06/2006 14:36

Never seen the junk food stuff before, just had a look and quite like it really. It is different to the slogan stuff though.

What I dont like though is that all the t-shirts are round neck. Much prefer a v neck, much more flattering Smile.

MaryP0p1 · 02/06/2006 14:36

The point is through Ricky gervais and D&G are just making the serious point that certain attitutes stink.

I like the stuff for me but wouldn't dream of putting it on my children.

nailpolish · 02/06/2006 14:37

yes i like a v neck for my big norks

psychomum5 · 02/06/2006 14:38

I don't generally like the slogan tee's, but my 12yr old DD bought a fab one just specially to stop me nagging her.......

'life is too short to tidy my room.'

workedGrin!!!

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:38

yes a lot of people say that about their stuff. I am ok though not very big breasted at all only a C cup so can get away with round next..where as my sister is an E and always looks nicer in a v neck.

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:39

haha physco..the thing is at 12 it is funny especially when they have bought it themselves to wind you up!

psychomum5 · 02/06/2006 14:41

I knowGrin

she also got a 'I love dads credit card'

I would like one the same only saying DH instead of dadWink

madmarchhare · 02/06/2006 14:43

I haven't been blessed with a plentiful norkage but I still think they are more feminine.

psychomum5 · 02/06/2006 14:44

laughinglil tho......how can you say you not very big breasted at 'only a C cup'???

I am also a C cup, and feel positivly HUGE:(!!

but then, I was once an A cup, so C does feel huge I guessGrin

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:44

round neck not round next silly idiot! sorry about my awful spelling in last post!

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:45

haha I think because I always hoped I would be a D cup ..never did get there though..!

psychomum5 · 02/06/2006 14:49

I have the mirina coil with the hormone included......making me expand rapidly and now heading towards a D cup. free breast jobGrin, but very hard for ma to get used too.

mind you.....tis very good as I got lots of lovely new bras to shop for as well as bikinisGrinGrin

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:52

i thought going on the pill after dt's would make my boobs expand but it didn't just made me pile on three stone! which i have now lost thankfully plus more! So I have been shopping for bikini's too! Off to mexico wednesday CAN't wait!

FlameBoo · 02/06/2006 14:52

I am convinced that norks only count as big when you can't get every style of bra in your size (does that make sense)??

C is the perfect size - big enough for a cleavage, but small enough to get all the pretty styles and thin straps Grin

Not a fan of buying slogans for children - if they buy for themselves it is a different matter.

(thought I should join in with the topic at hand too Blush)

PsychoFlame · 02/06/2006 14:54

I've also put on a stone (not so much fun), but everyone says I look healthier, so maybe I was too thin before and just didn't know it!!

Psycho

(PsychoFlame is a combination of Psychomum and Flameboo - but we're together right now and seems easier).

(Yes, we are sad enough to be on MN together Blush - using the defence of her being too sore to do anything much else Wink)

laughinglil · 02/06/2006 14:56

flameboo I think your completly right about bra's.. I do feel a bit sorry for my sister she has to pay a fortune for 'pretty' bras in an E cup whereas if I am really desperate I can pop into primark and pick a few pretty sets up for a fraction of the price.
Slogans for kids is just wrong I think .. When they are a bit older they can wear what they like (slogan wise)
Saw a little boy no older than 18m yesterday with a top on that said ' When I am older, I will be in prison' ? ? ? why would you put that on your child?

PsychoFlame · 02/06/2006 15:05

I know!!! Why buy them??? There is clearly a market for them though.

I think all children should wear stripes up until the age of at least 6 though, so I'm biased! Grin

FillyjonktheSnibbet · 02/06/2006 15:06

God, I think these are vile. I know a 4 yo, he is the gentlest, sweetest child imaginable, he can read and he has lots of friends who are girls (including my 10 mo daughter).

He would be so upset if he saw this. Just hope he doesn't.
