Do you like mine? do you do you Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 09/05/2013 21:03

Evening all.

Did the Big Try On today and these are the results...
this looks lovely
this is really flattering and probably my favourite, whereas all one was missing was a pair of pigtails and some clogs. Quite ludicrously trapeze-shaped - I looked like Pippi Longstocking, which is disappointing so back it goes.
The bikini, once I'd put it on the right way around, was also lovely, as was the JCrew, even though it's less dress, more summer T-shirt dress IYKWIM.
Found this in Zara when out on Monday and though it looks totally minging in the picture, it's gorgeous IRL (even though it's plastic - it's very convincing masquerading as silk). Tried on the kimono, imagining Kiera in a Chanel campaign, but looked more Bet Lynch in bed jacket (sigh). And 9yo stylist DD2 said witheringly "ugh. Polyester" and she was right, so I walked away. She's my voice of reason.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 09/05/2013 21:06

Shucks. Link failure Pippilicious

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2013 21:08

Ooooh to cheer myself up and distress after yet another plumber to quote and visit from architect, I went in my wardrobe and sorted my shoes out (saddo).i have 53 pair all in clear plastic boxes.....OCD storage woman
Would give you the inventory but don't want to be expelled from MNV !!!!!

LinusDKD · 09/05/2013 21:12

Last one, promise. Too olive coloured?

Boden skirt

Annianni · 09/05/2013 21:13

List please Drywhite :o

Hope you get your house sorted.

Well done with the shred One
Mine's still in the wrapper.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 21:13

I love yours Marsha if it was a little less blue green and a few inches longer (scared it might not cover my arse). I think you should link it now so someone else can snap it up as it is fabulous.

MrsRadicchio · 09/05/2013 21:16

Managed to get on pc to look at links. Lots of good shopping! Can't think of anywhere else for khaki tube skirts. Whistles have a quilted grey mini I think looks lovely

Foxy have a great time!

Hope all the illness has left everyone now.

I also don't shop in Zara. I don't think I've ever bought from there but I think it is mainly to do with sizing, it isn't cut for my shape. Same with mango, though I haven't tried anything from there for yonks. I don't really shop on the high street, mainly cause I barely ever get out and neither DS is amenable to going into shops with me. I also prefer internet browsing rather than looking in shops and trying on. Does mean I've spent a fortune in returns though.

Anyway I came on to say

old news but what a bargain I have bought as I was after a pair.

and that there is a pair of 99p gigis on ebay, size 6UK. Won't link for the usual reasons (I am not the seller btw!) but know some of you are after them.

One well done for the weight loss success. I have bought the shred, so far the most exercise I have done is taking it out of the wrapper. I will start doing it when DS2 reliably settles for the evening and not the MNing I am doing now

I need to start making notes a la Dry - I can never remember everyone's posts by the time I get to writing mine.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 21:16

Can I borrow your 9yo Grumpy? She sounds ace! So what are you keeping?
Too olive Linus - don't beat me!!

OP posts:
MrsRadicchio · 09/05/2013 21:20

Just rereading my post - by "barely ever get out" I meant to go to the shops...I do leave the house!

MrsRadicchio · 09/05/2013 21:21
