Dealing with hairs on your upper lip. What's best?

I have quite a few hairs on my upper lip, mostly light but a few dark which I bleach. I want rid altogether though because it makes me self conscious. What's the best and most permanent method of hair removal for that area? Wax? Laser? Something else?

I use an epistick. It costs about £2-3 from ebay.

It pulls out the hairs like plucking but it's quicker IMO.

Threading - amazing. Disappears for ages. Great for eyebrow shape too.

I get my tash threaded. I am greek and hairy if i didnt id have a full on tash and beard

Oohh I have an epistick. I have used it for years. But never knew what it was called.

I bought an epistick after another thread on here - it was without a doubt the most painful thing I've ever used on my top lip.

Laser was good but not permanent so now I just use sensitive Nair removal cream. Found that the best after trying most on the market.

Used to get mine waxed at salon. Now I do it myself, quick, painful for a nanosecond and easy.

I find it best to do it in small sections as its not a good idea to recover areas as that can cause soreness.

Wax or threading. DO NOT PLUCK! I got in the habit of plucking and now look like Tom selleck but it all grows at random times. I've taken to bleaching until its the same length and then thread again!

IPL - halfway through a course of 6 right now and the difference is amazing. Wish I'd done it sooner. Still a few stragglers here and there, but for the most part the full Freddie Mercury has gone Grin

The episticks - if I am brave enough to try them after MissNeverMind's post - are they all pretty much of a muchness on ebay or is it worth paying a bit more for one from the UK or that says it is a particular brand?

And how long do they last when you are using them? Do they wear out or break in a month or two, or are they something like combs or hairbrushes that seem to go on for a long time and then you suddenly realise that they've started to lose the odd tooth/prong and it's time for a new one. and they no longer make the only one you really like for your hair and they all seem to have doubled in price since you last bought one

You can thread your upper lip yourself - there are some videos on youtube. It's really easy.

I wouldn't do my eyebrows in case I got the wrong bit and messed up the shape (although I have tidied them up a bit with threading) but hey, any hair around my lip needs to be gone!

how does threading work then? howis it different to waxing or plucking? whenever I have seen threading in a deoartmrnt store, it always seems to be on full view to everyone, no privacy.
