professional studio/photographer for a mature 'model' book in London, any reccomendations?

Hi

I am thinking about having some professional photos taken, with a good photographer, and create a book (model style iykwim) I want to avoid big busy studios and lots of people.
However I have few problems

1 - I am shy in front of strangers and hate posing
2 - My wardrobe is shit and I can't put clothes never mind accessories together so I would need to borrow stuff from someone who can help me create a look
3 - I am rubbish at styling my hair and doing my own make up so I would need someone to do it for me

4 - I don't have much money but don't mind paying a reasonable price if good results are guaranteed.

Has anyone ever done it or know who to recommend?

^ Everything garlicyoni said. Although, I do see how you got your back up, and I do see that perhaps there has been some miscommunication going on, perhaps to do with language/cultural differences (although your English does seem extremely good).

MrsCampbell has made some excellent suggestions.

Can I suggest that perhaps you look for a portrait photographer who might be looking to add some new material to their portfolio, maybe send them some headshots and include some pictures of the sort of thing you are like/are looking for? Do let them know that you are willing to experiment and have some fun, and also to pay (within your budget).

Again, perhaps having a look at the website I linked to, or even contacting the Association direct. Also, there's the RPS, who may be able to steer you to a good amateur or semi-pro near you.

I hope you find what you are looking for, though honestly, it is a little hard to fathom what exactly that is! Good luck, and I for one am glad for a woman to be happy with her looks. More women should be- as well as with themselves in general.

It's the high fashion thing, mainly, MrsCB. The OP seems to want pictures looking very different from her everyday presentation, without having to do anything to achieve the different look.

It's absurd to expect a studio to stock clothing for every possible customer requirement. Such a stock already exists - in shops. She could go to Harvey Nicks and get a flunkey to provide everything she says she wants - or, depending on budget, rope in various helpers to put her desired look together from economical sources. But she gets terribly cross at these suggestions.

Another idea might be to send a photo-manipulation service some photos of yourself, taken at home, with pictures of the look you want. If you were to provide the right sources, they might be able to do what you want.

It seems, though, OP, you want the 'photo manipulation' to happen in real life and don't like the fact it will take some effort on your part. Moon. Stick. Weird.

ok so just to settle the argument. One look that I really like for example is Moroccan. Why would I buy good quality moroccan style clothes to wear only once for a photo shoot? than there is the decor and background issues too. There are so many other looks I have in mind and I wanted to experiment with but I guess it is impossible then, unless I get into Britain's Next Top Model (hollow laugh).
The point of having the photos is just to have an album with me experimenting whith those looks, that is it. Maybe it's pointless for some, but I like the idea.
To answer other questions, I don't hate clothes, I just hate shopping and I have a very basic style which I'm happy with . I don't wear accessories. So maybe that's why I wanted some photos of me looking tottaly different and also the experience to have to pose and be confident in front of a professional photographer.

I'm from somewhere in South America, my English is ok, still working on it every day.

Sounds like you might want a personal shopper/makeover then a photoshoot. I'm sure somewhere like Harvey Nichols could help with the first bit and may have recommendations for the rest.

OP, why not go to Morocco for your hols? Stay in a designer rhiad for a couple of nights and have lots of photos taken there :)
