Interesting reminder about blue eyeliner to highlight brown eyes. I used to do this in my late teens. Wonder if I'd dare now? I do have a deep emerald liner somewhere that I went through a phase of wearing a while back, and I used to think that looked quite nice.
My best bits are probably my legs. They are long and thin. Actually, I am long and thin. I used to feel a bit freakish, being so much taller than just about every other girl/woman I knew but age has helped me, and I'm now more accepting of it. The fact that it's easier to find trousers etc that are long enough definitely helps too. As does having spent a lot of time in the Netherlands and Germany, where plenty of women are taller than me.
To be fair, being tall, although it makes me feel I stand out, is, with current clothing styles, easier to turn into a plus than, say, my thin, poker straight hair. It's pretty dark, which i now like after years of highlighting it, but I do seem to go through fits and starts of trying to style it. The BBH works quite well for me, as does a simple upside down blow dry. Mind you, I am now hankering after the Babyliss Perfect Curl (or some such name). Fortunately (or not), it is too £££ to buy on a will-it-work-won't-it-work whim.
Frame - are you going to keep the skirt? Will it bring you pleasure or merely guilt?
Splat - I know what you mean about settling for nothing less than perfection in what you spend money on. It makes it soooo much easier, not to spend, doesn't it!
I've ought two things recently. #1 is a navy cowl neck top. It's cotton, long, well-structured and, really, perfect in every way. And it was half the price of the Farhi one I'd had my greedy eye on. #2 is a cotton/linen mix midi skirt (probably maxi on most people). It's something I'd had my eye on for at least half a year and when I saw it reduced by 60%, I took the bait and bought. And it's nice.... But not perfect. A benchwarmer, really. Trouble is, it was £26, cost a further £5 in delivery and will cost another £5 to return. So, £10 for.....nothing? I think I'll keep it and be wiser in future!
