10 buttons for coat £5.60
Goldsign jeans £67
360 grey cashmere jumper £53
Zoe Karssen t-shirt £12
Boden Skye jumper £34.50
so total of £171.50, but rrp of just over £600 as jeans, jumper and t-shirt had 75% off and Boden jumper had 50% off.

SoldeInvierno · 25/01/2013 19:20

Let's see...

Coat: £100
Boots: £130
Shoes: £55
Shoes: £30

that makes £315, right? Jeeesss, I wished I hadn't started counting. I am definitely buying nothing in february!

SoldeInvierno · 25/01/2013 19:20

oh, and I forgot the pair of jeans from Uniqlo. That'll be £345 in total then. :-(

dexter73 · 25/01/2013 19:22

Ooops! forgot these!!

SassySask · 25/01/2013 19:54

3 pair of shoes - £2800
Wildfox jumper - £100
Underwear & dressing gown - £65
Wildfox top - £70

Fuck me, I'm stopping!!

dexter73 · 25/01/2013 20:00

Do you mean £280 for the shoes or £2800?!!

AmberNectarine · 25/01/2013 20:48

They must be some nice shoes....

Matsikula · 25/01/2013 21:00

I want to keep track - I wrote down everything except underwear, socks and tights last year (and posted it on that July thread). It was really useful in helping me to identify some bad habits, mainly that the stuff I buy when I am desperate for something new and have been on a rare shopping trip, often turns out to be a mistake. But when I plan a big purchase, I tend to get loads of wear out of it, and really enjoy it.

So I am slightly dismayed to report that this month I have bought a navy cotton top from massimo dutti(£30), some flat sparkly pointed toe lace up shoes (£45) also from massimo dutti, a striped top from gap (£13) and a navy woollen bobble hat (£25). None really planned purchases. I did sale shop in December as well - some hobbs wool trousers and an Anglomania dress.

Actually having worked out a maximum budget per month I am gutted that it meant I could not buy a beautiful navy Tara jarmon princess line coat today - half price and the kind of thing you dream of finding in the sales. I just couldn't justify it when I like the coats I already have.

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2013 21:08

I can add jumper £75 reduced from £250 or something. Just slips in at end of month.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 25/01/2013 21:14

Just think of all the money we've collectively saved.

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2013 21:15

I know, it's loads

Milliways · 25/01/2013 21:37

A LOT less than last year! I had DDs graduation AND her wedding to buy for :) That also included a new winter coat, shoes & a bag.

I need some new trousers & tops for work, and probably a few summer holiday Tshirts, and I would love a new jumper next winter. Oh, and some work shoes. Probably £300.

SassySask · 25/01/2013 23:00

I like shoes :/ but hardly ever wear the decent ones! Seriously need to curb that addiction!

Murraylover · 26/01/2013 10:57

I do keep track. Use a Visa (&pay off monthly) for any 'extras' incl clothes/holidays. Using same to check £££ going monthly on petrol too. Some say a mean trick or wise move - takes away the denial!

alemci · 27/01/2013 14:51

We have a credit card and i always use it to buy clothes. I also have my own M&S card and sometimes use that instead. Usually go through credit card bill with a a highlighter for my stuff. always pay it off.

Went shopping Friday

Jeans J Lewis £24.50 sale - haven't tried them on yet so may go back
scarf £3.60 Monsoon

some boots and Body shop stuff too

today bought some welly liners and tights but they got absorbed into the grocery shop.

scarlet76 · 27/01/2013 15:01

Jenny99 - I recently got a lovely burgundy leather biker jacket from ASOS.
Well, I gave in and ordered the charcoal jumper in the Boden sale.
I have also ordered a couple of dresses from Next petite range. One of them for a wedding in September if I like.

jenny99 · 27/01/2013 19:50

scarlet76 thank you I read that in your earlier post and googled it. It's gorgeous! How many leather jackets does a girl need? Altho they are all different colours and burgundy looks gorgeous. Would go with the amazing d&g burgundy boots I bought in Bicester in December...reduced from £774 to £165 !!!!! (I LOVE them but they are very uncomfortable!!) (don't tell my husband that!)

AmberNectarine · 27/01/2013 19:51

All the nicest shoes are. I am still nursing infected blisters from wearing Louboutins two weeks ago.

Mrsrobertduvall · 27/01/2013 20:05

A Wallis top about £30.

That's it so far.
However...I went to Crispins shoe shop on Saturday (shoes for big feet) and tried on a lot. I have earmarked about 5 pairs, but can't bring myself to buy suede wedge sandals in January. So approximately £600 there.

I plan to get 2 pairs of James hunter jeans, in dark denim and black, ...that'll be about £350.

MirandaWest · 27/01/2013 20:12

I think all I've spent so far this year is about £16 on running clothes. Could do with some more things but trying to be sensible this year.

scarlet76 · 27/01/2013 20:13

jenny99 - it's the only one I have but wear it lots and colour is very versatile. Black can look a bit harsh on me at times so burgundy is a good alternative.

scarlet76 · 27/01/2013 20:17

Yes, I am good in the sense that I don't have a credit card or an overdraft facility. All money I spend is my own. But as I need to spend on the house this year, I must show restraint.
Although the bloody Zatchels bag from another thread is calling me :-\

MamaGeekChic · 27/01/2013 20:23

Very glad that december isn't included- I splurged!!

Jan so far:
2 plain vests and 2 plain tops from H&M- £24
Anya Hindmarch mini gracie- £198

I expect I spend at least £2500 per year. (No debt, less than 5% of my take home pay)

MamaGeekChic · 27/01/2013 20:31

Just read that back and it sounds like a boast at the end, unintentional, I was just trying to head off any comments about being irresponsible etc...
