I do like the plum ones I found but yes, the colour match is probably off. gold/bronze are much better

i think cod may be right here - putting "cool" coloured shoes with a "warm" coloured dress

I really think you need red shoes(and DEEOP red nailvarnish) Think the dress is stunning and gold or bronze or any contrast would draw attention away from the dress and make the outfit fussy. You want a shoe that fits and doesn't detract. Now, you're going to say you'll never find a pair to match. not true. The trick is to get a pair that either is extremely strappy - so that basically there really isn't much colour, or to get a pair that involves 2-3 shades of red, that effectively blur and take on the overall tone of the dress. I have a fab pair of shoes like this - they go with everything. Unfortunately I go them about 3 years ago. however I will go and have a hunt.
