Yes, it's lovely and I had it on my wish list for a while, but a bit too ££ for me at the moment.

I would wear it with a big slouchy knit, opaques and ankle boots by day.

Evening, tucked in blouse/shirt, heels and opaques.

Go for it. It's your body shape and style type thats important. Age, pah!

My Mum is 48 and a size 10 (with great legs) and it would look fab on her, so I say go for it!

BeauNeidel · 29/10/2012 16:24

My first thought was no way - too short.

But then I thought that actually, it's not that short, you are probably not as tall as the model anyway. And The Body is in her fifties and can still rock a short skirt so go for it. So long as it's not tramped up I think it'll be nice.

My ds would have said this sort of thing aged around 14-16 now at 18 he usually says I look good

digerd · 29/10/2012 16:44

You must try it on and sit down in it. Leather does not stretch and it looks quite a narrow skirt.

Too much money for a bit of leather for me, though.

Providing I like it I shall be wearing mine for the school run and don't really give a shit what anyone else thinks. If it's "ooh, she's trying too hard" then
I may well be looking at that person thinking "fgs, make a little effort". I enjoy wearing nice(IMO) clothes, it makes me feel good. Fleeces and jeans every day would depress me, but each to their own, surely. Within reason, your age shouldn't stop you wearing whatever you like and a leather skirt is hardly on a par with Lady Gaga, although you might think so from some of the posts on this thread Smile.

As an aside, wouldn't it be fascinating to see everyone's pics (headless or otherwise) on profiles, with ages and wearing favourite outfit(s), it would be a great help on S&B, especially when seeking opinions, to see who you think is stylish and therefore should be listened to, or not your Brew so set less store by.

£200 for 1 tiny skirt?! Not much fabric for your money there!

teatimesthree · 30/10/2012 13:20

I like it - and it sounds like you would look great.

Tbh I am sure you are a better judge of what is stylish than a teenager. No offence to your daughters, who sound stylish and lovely, but I see teenagers looking absolutely horrid on a daily basis.

Go for it!
